Powering Up the ESP8266

Now I need to get sensor data wireless using the Raspberry Pi. Now I know I need a ESP8266 Wifi Module, which can set up its own server and do everything. But how to supply power to it? Also if the sensor is placed outside, how to supply power?

Yes, that will be good, but I gotta work with what I have. So can data be transferred over that distance(10-15 metres) without loss?

Actually the longest distance between one sensor to the Pi 3 is about 15m. Will there be any problem within that distance? Also is there any way of transferring sensor data from sensor to Raspberry Pi over WiFi without physically connecting them?

Use ESP8266s rather than Arduinos. It's a billion times easier to get an ESP8266 connected to your WiFi. Run Mosquitto on your Raspberry. Get the sensors to publish MQTT messages with readings from your sensors. You can then subscribe to those MQTT topics in any way you like. This is running on my ...
