Sed command not working

Hello! I'm trying to make an easier way to overclock a Pi, and i'm trying to echo the new arm_freq=1500 to the config.txt on line 78 but for some reason it won't copy over. My command is as follows:

Code: Select all

sudo sed -i 78i\arm_freq=1500 /boot/config.txt

Recovery mode LineageOS rpi3 b+??

@KonstaKang Hello! I am a user of Lineage OS, specifically a port made by KonstaKang, that doesn't have GApps. When trying to install these i noticed the instructions on the lineage site say to enter recovery mode. How exactly would I do that? On an android phone, you can hold the power button and t...

Manual Modification of boot folder.

Hello! I was wondering if there is any way to modify operating systems that only work on the pi 2/3 (Like Ubuntu Mate) so they work on the Pi 3 B+.
I think the problem is with the bootcode.bin, but I'm not sure how to fix this.

PSA(Public Service Announcment) USE APT instead of APT-GET

Apparently Apt is newer than apt-get. The functions are pretty much the same, just executed different ways :D :D

And also Conky.
My Pi does run at 1.5 Ghz, but If im not doing something I think it drops to about 600MHZ.

Is it possible to take a 1TB external USB hard drive and make a swapfile?

If so, couldn't you make the swapfile like 750 GB+, and have enough swap memory to run everything? Just curious if anybody has tried something similar, I'm running a 400 MB swap file on a 500MB or so USB drive that I don't really use anyway, figured might as well put it to use, even if it affects it...

Pi 3b+ seems to cap cpu overclock at 1.5 Ghz?

So, I was messing with overclocking a bit. I found the raspberry pi model 3 b+ processor runs normally at 1.4 Ghz, so I decided, why not bump up to 1.6 Ghz? Well, 1.6 Ghz, for some reason, doesn't boot. 1.5 Ghz boots fine. I was wondering why this is? Honestly I'm fine with 1.5 Ghz, its better than ...

Would definitely get security programs, i bet a Dos/DDos could take down a pi pretty easily.
Hosting a local server for a few friends, you probably wont have an issue.
