Re: [Help] Trigger mechanism

Thank you for your replies again! Well, I am interested to make a device case which will be used as an "airbag". I was inspired by this guy: https://www.reddit.com/r/interestingasfuck/comments/8ub0el/engineering_student_designs_a_mobile_airbag_that/ But I am not going to make exactly the same thing....

Re: [Help] Trigger mechanism

motors, stepper motors, linear actuators and solanoids are just a few of the devices you could employ to create motion on demand depending on the specifics its tricky to suggest which might be most optimal. when looking to employ anything that draws more than a nominal current you will also want to...

[Help] Trigger mechanism

Hey guys! I am thinking to connect an accelerometer sensor on my RPi Zero W, which after an acceleration will trigger some springs. I am trying to figure out how can I create the mechanism that triggers the springs. My first thoughts are how guns mechanism works but my imagination can't go any furth...

"Airbag" Case

Hello all, I recently saw the airbag case that a German student made ( https://techcrunch.com/2018/06/27/this-clever-case-pops-open-to-protect-your-phone-when-you-drop-it/ ), and I am curious if this is possible to make using a raspberry pi (preferably zero). If it is, have you ever seen something s...

I can't find the Arduino one anymore. Thought it was on hackaday. Googling "Tetris phone case" gives lots of clones.
Cheers! :D

Re: Ideas to create a phone case

Given the size of a pi (even a PiZero) it might be too large to fit on to the back of a phone case that will still fit in somone's pocket. I've seen a phone case that was an arduino clone with a small LCD screen, some buttons and it came with a version of Tetris built in. Perhaps you could do somet...

Re: Ideas to create a phone case

First of all, thank you for your reply! As I mentioned above, the goal of this project is to make an interactive device case (not only a mobile phone). So the first thing that comes to my mind is a case that will be actually a Raspberry Pie. I don’t have a specific budget but I assume that there are...

Ideas to create a phone case

Hello everyone. I am a 3rd-year Computer Science student and I am assigned to a project called Back of Device Interaction. In a nutshell, i have to make a case for a mobile phone that actually interacts with the device! I always wanted to deal with Raspberry Pi's in general, so I guess this is a goo...
