Waveshare 7.5inch e-Paper and Flicker after draw?

Hi there. Using Raspberry pi 3 B+ as base and Waveshare 7.5inch e-Paper https://www.waveshare.com/wiki/7.5inch_e-Paper_HAT Everything is quite fine, hookUp using SPI and all librarys are installed, but one odd thing is the showstopper for me. After each display_refresh, where the image is drawn to t...

Re: Reading AC Mains current with ACS712 + MPC3008

Hi There. I am also studying how to measure AC 230 voltage load with Raspberry Pi. All the examples I have come across are for Arduino.. I bought "ACS712 5A Current Sensor Module for Arduino" and 'd like ask just the basics. 1. How to wire this up? +5V and GND are easy, but where to connect t...

Re: [QUESTION] PiPHP/GPIO and Permissions

Well, "Permissions are not set, pelase provide example" has no resulutions and this is besides to point actually: The real question also is "how to allow one php function/file to have permission to so something powerful" Is seems that "/var/www/html/vendor/piphp/gpio/src/FileSystem/FileSystem.php" d...

Well, what would you do then? Apache kicks php to execute the index.php has has already in my case apikey check.. So no anonymous invokes using restful post json..

Somebody needs to have root privileges to kick the gpio..

so, what do I write to /etc/sudoers using sudo visudo?
user pi.pi apparently has all the .php files.. arethe permissions inherited, so index.php that uses other php files that needs the permission to hw?

Re: [QUESTION] PiPHP/GPIO and Permissions

Ok, Thank you for this.. I switched to "ronanguilloux/php-gpio forked from ben-duffin/PHP-GPIO" instead of "PiPHP: GPIO". I do not believe that matters. Re: PiPHP/GPIO and Permissions

Well, This needs to be resovled by sudo visudo I install Apache2 and PHP5 and then set the web-folder to user pi like sudo chown pi.pi /var/www/html -R I install "php-gpio" library to the /var/www/html/" and my Index.php file is require(__DIR__.'/php-gpio/vendor/autoload.php'); use PhpGpio\Gpio; ech...

Re: PiPHP/GPIO and Permissions

hmm... See not the point, because I have set PHP error level to debug, so i can see everything on the webPage.. The error is the permission to /sys/classes/gpio/export or similar... So I understand that this needs some permission settings for apache either given in php code itself or set via console...

Re: PiPHP/GPIO and Permissions

I do just as it is said in the easy manuals... I log in as pi and install apache & php as sudo. I have not created any groups, I only set owner to /var/www/html/ -r for pi.pi so that I can write into the published folder with pi user in SFTP.. So I guess apache is run automatically with pi user? Tha...

[QUESTION] PiPHP/GPIO and Permissions

Hi there. Using Raspberry Pi 3 with Raspbian Jessie Lite 2017-03-02. I have installed Apache2 and PHP5 in order to have a nice WebUI experience. The idea is to control the GPIO pins using PHP, not Python this time. Shell Exec stuff does not sit well in my eyes, the solution needs to be beatiful and ...

Re: Motion - still image URL

I also seek for the solution..
e.g. mjpg_streamer can be invoked http://192.168.0.xxx:8080/out.jpg for single image.

How can motion be invoked to get single jpg, not mjpeg

stream_maxrate = 0 does not work, just stops the server when invoking it.

Re: Driving Neopixels from Pi/Zero

Ok, thanx for the replies. I believe that I am going to follow more "careful" and robust approach to hookUp NeoPixels and use the level converter chip 74AHCT125. I want the luminous of the LEDs to be at full and that means 5V drawn from PI's PIN 18, hence the current will probably rise to dangerous ...

Re: Driving Neopixels from Pi/Zero

..So you feed +5v from power source and data from Zero?

I would TRULY recommend 74AHCT125 chip to rampUp 3.3v to 5V for NeoPixels. With this, user can use .... a lot of neopixles..

Re: Driving Neopixels from Pi/Zero

Nice, but I am looking also for a hardware hookup examples. NeoPixcel-elements require 4-7 volts to operate at full. I would like to ask someone smart to come up with a proper schematic on how to connect e.g. 10x WS2812B modules to Raspberry PI (zero) so that the data PIN does not get current-burn. ...
