vanilla 4.18 kernel on RPI2B and no /dev/dri nor any soundcard

Hi, I'm testing cross-build system of my distro (MiniMyth2) on ARM architectures using for it RPI3 (aarch64) and RPI2B (armv7) HW with U-boot. So far aarch64 works perfectly (except lack of GL/OMX 64-bit firmware blobs so no nice GL/video HW decode). Unfortunately on RPI2B I can't get dri working (a...

Re: why no /proc/sys/kernel/hotplug ?

Why do you need it? In modern systems udev handles hotplug , there is no need echoing binary path into /proc/sys/kernel/hotplug , unless you are trying to make an embedded os with eg. busybox. exactly. I'm building minimal os as runtime for mythtv app. CONFIG_HOTPLUG is on by default and there is n...

Re: minimal aarch64 kernel config to U-boot without initrd?

It looks like issue was in glibc. I build with 2.17 and despite it is marketed as "first glibc supporting aarch64" - it not works for me. Upgrading glibc to 2.27 solves issue :-)

minimal aarch64 kernel config to U-boot without initrd?

Hi ! I'm recompiling my project (https://github.com/warpme/minimyth2) to rpi3 (aarch64). I have all components compiled and now I'm trying to boot it on rpi3. I'm using u-boot /boot + script from arm archlinux with replaced kernel image (Image.gz). Archlinux initrd is removed. rootfs content from my...
