Re: Openelec library

Hi I think you may have got a little confused with the database thing. To get openelec working on your pi and streaming films from ubuntu. 1. download an openelec pi image from openelec homepage load this onto an sd card see instructions on openlec website 2. boot the pi from the sd card this loads ...

Re: What are your OVERCLOCKING settings when using XBMC??

OpenElec RPi 512mb version arm_freq=900 core_freq=333 sdram_freq=450 over_voltage=2 I'm using this on my 256 pi runs smooth on openelec dynamic overclock Difference between dynamic and forced apart from warranty being void when using forced. Forced = runs overclocked all the time Dynamic = overcloc...

Re: n00b xmbc

I am interested in the RPi for exactly the same use, XBMC, but it seems to be troublesome for most. :? I am using openelec/xbmc version and am now so pleased with it I just sold my media center PC and am now using the pi full time. There are a few niggles (itv player slight issue) but im sure these...

Re: OpenELEC vs Raspbmc vs Xbian

Very sad to see the end of xbian was my favorite early on, but now will look at the alternatives more closely. I would appreciate though if some things could be clarified a bit for me. The raspbmc installer appears to be based partly on the 'usbit.dll' referred to in the article published on the fro...

Re: Android app or interface for OpenELEC/RaspBMC/XBIAN?

There is an android remote available for XBMC which they all use so it works on all. The only problem is it doesn't as yet have a keyboard function just normal remote functions but you would be better off looking at the xbmc forums for info and updates about it. to enter text using the android xbmc...

I think the same version of xbmc is used in all raspberry pi based xbmc systems so they all should eventually include this fix.

Re: XBian - Small, Fast, Lightweight XBMC solution

Total newbie here, but does XBian overclock the Pi by default? The xbian image is set to overclock by default. On a pc you just need to edit the config.txt file found on the sd card and put a # in front of the overclock commands this disables them and pi will run at default 700mhz. Personally I thi...

Hi dom

thanks for the reply. What should be performing the downmix hardware or software is it built into the gpu function ?

I will look for a test video and try it on my system later today, it may be best if someone with 5.1 and 2.0 test it though to confirm.

Thanks

xbmc audio problems

Hi I have seen similar problem mentioned in a few topics. I am currently running Xbian and I have the pi hooked up via HDMI to a tv with 2.0 audio. I assume the pi is sending 5.1 which is what most of my films are in and all I am getting is the two front left/right channels general sound is good but...
