Re: Battery backup power

Well, a little late getting back to this post. My 5600 battery powered my Pi for 8.5 hours. Now I say this was in an idle state for most of that. This is also on the first charge of the battery. I expect to do slightly better once the battery is conditioned. The battery, can be charged while it supp...

Re: Battery backup power

I'm currently running a pi on a 5600 mAH RAVPower rechargeable power source (aka battery backup, auxiliary battery, etc). Plugged in via the power connector. It puts out a nice 5.3v/1.0 amp supply. It's only been up for about 20 minutes now, with no sign of power loss. But then it's not doing much, ...

Re: Porting Android

cm9 loads, very fast, and comes up to the Android lock screen at 1280x768 (on a set top HDTV). The mouse leaves mouse trails, and the gui promptly stops, no access to vt1 to see messages. This set up was running off a 5200mAH RAVPower power bank. very slick to see the pi running untethered. Battery ...

Re: Porting Android

Ok, I understand, I think. Part of the Broadcom binary blobs is libegl, and hence we can't recompile. We'd need someone at Broadcom, like Eben, to do that. As far as the cm7 framebuffer not being an issue, are you sure? I ran the cm7 earlier, and it pretty much ended on a framebuffer issue. I didn't...

Re: Porting Android

I see on the wiki that Android boots on the pi. I will be downloading and trying it out. I see there are two main issues and apparently two version being attempted (GB based and ICS based). Would it help if I try to recompile the libEGL library against bionic libc? I see it says it is an issue on th...

Re: USB Port Current Boost (solved)

Ignore my previous post. I found a suitable replacement, from the same company. A little higher than I'd like, the 500 might work too. I guess I wasn't looking hard enough. Now all I need to do is find a seller. 750 http://www.te.com/catalog/pn/en/RF1404-000?RQPN=MINISMDC075F-2 500 http://www.te.com...

Re: USB Port Current Boost (solved)

Small world. I too am using an N10 wifi, along with a blue tooth (directly in USB2), a 4 port hub (USB1), and a Logitech "unified"* wireless keyboard and mouse. I've not had any issues with the N10, or resetting, but I have been getting bizarre keyboard repeating. To be fair, I haven't been hotplugg...

Re: Nexus 7 DSI

What steps would one take to hack together a connection from LVDS to the Pi? Assume, I have no clue what LVDS is, but do have a general knowledge of electronics and chips and how to build things. I too am looking to add a 7-10 display. My current plans is to find a screen to which I can use/mod with...
