Re: HOWTO - Using Raspberry Pi 3+ as Plex Media Server

Disregard that last comment I posted. I got the server to start working. But now it can't find my files on my hard drive. Plex can see my hard drive, but it can't see any of the files in it. Including the file names (movies, tv shows ect). When I manually put in the file I want to scan, it just say...

Re: Electronic Volime

Thank You! I decided that I will be doing one carboy per Pi and have each Pi interface with eachother over the network. What I am now looking for is an O2 sensor for yeast health as well as something I am completely unable to find. I need a hydrometer sensor to measure specific gravity but I'm not ...

Re: HOWTO - Using Raspberry Pi 3+ as Plex Media Server

I''m looking into buying a Pi for use as Plex Server, but I don't understand much of Linux or how Pi works. And I've seen some tutorials, and it all seems very simple, but for example in this one https://thepi.io/how-to-set-up-a-raspberry-pi-plex-server/ there's nothing about SSH or VNC. Can you ex...

RetroPie Weird Boot

Hey. So I've got a raspberry Pi b3 running raspberry pi and its acting really weird. The last 10-12 times I've started it up, the HDMI won't work. The screen is black. I can ssh into the Pi and after a few reboots, the screen will come back on. Is there anything I need to do or try to get it to boot...

Re: Raspberry Pi Slowing Down WiFi

P.S. You have a server room in your house?? Yeah, Im in the process of rebuilding. I was running a bunch of old 19 inch rack servers but I think Im going to build 1 beefy computer and water cool it and have a few raids attached to it. Less noise and less heat. If you leave the door open to the serv...

Hey Max, I’m close to a solution. I can communicate with Samsung TV now. I’m using a Google Home speaker, through IFTTT, to send commands to the app AnyMote, which is connected to the TV and has various command buttons. I have set up simple macros that can do various tasks (“Hey Google, volume up 5...

Re: Streaming Garage Radio

Considering that the amps I have been seeing have a 3 pin connector for input (I'm guessing for L,R, GND), a 3.5mm "stereo" cable is what I would need in order to interface with the 3 pin connector. Would that be correct? Is there any reason I would need a hat for the raspberry pi, or would/should ...

Re: NOOBS pre-installed SD card

You could clone the drive using SD card copier. So have a micro SD to usb adapter and insert it with a micro SD and then use the sd card copier built into raspbian. That way you have a backup. next step would be to reboot and hold shift to get to recovery and then install a different version of the ...

You could do this, anything is possible but an easier alternative is to buy an Amazon Alexa and then connect the alexa output to an amp
