what does this code do...?

Hi From the URL: http://www.cl.cam.ac.uk/~db434/raspi/blob_detection/ there is the following line of code: red, green, blue = image[x, y] also further down: image[x, y] = 0, 0, 0 I'm new to Python (used to C) so the simultaneous assignment concept is new. I presume the individual RGB values are bein...

Re: NVR login in PI browser doesn't accept my (correct) password

Hi - thanks for the reply - I'm sorry - NVR is network video recorder. I can reach the login page no problem and I type in user name and password - so I have no problem with reaching my url. The only difference is that: On my PC - I can login when I type the username and password in the login screen...

NVR login in PI browser doesn't accept my (correct) password

H i - I am logging in to my NVR webpage on my PC with no problems, but when I go to the page IP address in a PI browser (I tried both midori and epiphany), a popup says my user name or password is incorrect. I cannot run chromium (keeps hanging) - so am trying these others. My keyboard seems fine (t...

SOLVED Re: Crontab doesn't run my .sh script (but script works standalone)

Thanks though for your suggestion - good for future debugging
- I'll look at how to direct the text echo to the terminal.

Re: Crontab doesn't run my .sh script (but script works standalone)(Solved)

Aah - I think I see the problem. The leds are flashing each minute (I had only two quick flashes so I missed them.) The text doesn't get echoed to the terminal, but that is probably explained here: https://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/40623/where-does-the-output-of-at-and-cron-jobs-go regards Ru...

Re: Crontab doesn't run my .sh script (but script works standalone)

Thanks I tried that too:

Code: Select all

* * * * * /usr/local/bin/myscript.sh
Also I added as a test for boot up:

Code: Select all

@reboot /usr/local/bin/myscript.sh
And yes, it runs on boot up!
Really puzzled.

Re: STICKY: Pictorial Buying Guide for the Raspberry Pi

The mini USB (the fourth from the left) is the wrong one. It’s larger and looks like a trapezoid with its sides pinched in. The micro USB (the third one from the left) is the correct one
Hi - I think this should read - the ones from the Right (not the left )
