Re: Kernel Panic - Not syncing: Fatal exception in interrupt

I did some error tracing, and yes the problem doesn't occur because network or keyboard. it was just an IO error while trying to fetch and store data at sd card. My fault, sorry ;)

Re: Java on Raspbian

Just as note: We have full blown OSGI's (knopflerfish 1.3 and 4) running at arm5 platforms with jamvm. Using thread pools, heavy reflections and of course some native stuff ;)

Re: Java on Raspbian

hey Andy,

jamVM has some restrictions at low level platforms. Agents AND class proxies (used for various testing frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit etc.) won't work. But that's documented.
All the "standard" reflections work fine.

Hope that helps.

Re: Java on Raspbian

Hmm, but isn't it compatible with fp emulation? Is the optimization for arm7 the target or to get java run at raspbian?

Re: OBD-II STN1110

i don't know what you really want to build, but http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OBD-II_PIDs shows off the standard information available through OBD-2. To build a visualization for voltages, some pressures, a very few engine data it should be enough.

Re: OBD-II STN1110

Hmm. That's right, what do you think is the benefit of OBD? I mean, on board diagnosis is only possible if line 15 (key) is switched *off*. At 15=on you'll only receive some useless "standard" information. The only interestening point would be to build a diagnosis interface, but such are cheap to ge...

Re: NetGear N150 usb dongle

hey sweetcrystal, i have also a netgear N150 (WNA1100) running at raspbian, but it took some time to get it to work ;) 1. use a powered hub (at least 2A, because the N150 seems to take peaks of 1A!) 2. connect the hub with pi, and DON'T connect the N150 with the hub, connect your keyboard instead 3....

Re: Java on Raspbian

Why don't you use JAMVM? This vm is often used in large scaled embedded projects. Memory efficient and fast at ARM platforms ;)

best regards,

Re: Kernel Panic - Not syncing: Fatal exception in interrupt

Hi, i got the same problem: kernel panic (endless scrolling, sometimes stopped) while heavy disc io and also if i move some huge directories (~500mb) and scan target same time (du -sch /target/*). Please note: the same occurs while mass upgrading distro, for example the initial download (dev libs et...
