Re: Output pin state changes by itself?

Friends, I apologize for the inconvenience. I've found out the real cause. I had installed screen app and run a script at startup in another sd image. I mixed this image with the new one I work on. So while I was triying to set in and out pins, that script reaches the same pins and use them. Because...

Re: Output pin state changes by itself?

I'm using Raspberry Pi Zero v1.3

Script is the same.

I've changed input control pin to 31 and red led output pin to 36.

I've not applied any workaround like another little control loop.

It's ok now, everthing works normal and red led is not off after a while. I didn't understand this.

Re: Output pin state changes by itself?

Pins 11, 12, 13, 19, 21, 23 are tested. I've put print commands to each line to catch at which line output pin goes down. No way, each line seems working normal. Sometimes output pin becomes 0 after 3 seconds, sometimes 5 seconds. It is something like a changing timeout. Sorry I could not prepare sc...

Re: Output pin state changes by itself?

I realy thank to volunteer helpers. I try to help as much as I can too. I need help in these conditions, I can't share. If someone experienced a similar situation before or ideas to go through those'd be very helpfull. I can't understand how pin state goes down although there is no script line to se...

Re: Output pin state changes by itself?

Sorry for the script, special project, it has more than 600 lines. Not my first project, I've done many before and used pins repeatedly. I've tried most of the pins, result is the same. I've commented out all lines those set this output pin to low. So, after I set output pin to high there is no chan...

Output pin state changes by itself?

Hi friends, I have a problem and I encounter for the first time, realy surprised. I've searched but I couldn't find satisfactory answer. I have a pin set as input and another pin set as output. A led is connected to output pin with 220 ohm resistor. Normally input pin is high (connected to 3V pin). ...

Re: Meaningless boot problem

Thanks folks, - I use 5,7V DC, >2A Power Supply and lightning sign does not appear. So I'm assuming I'm using right ps. If I power RaPi lover than 5,7V DC I see lightning sign. Also, I measured all power inputs with ampermeter, Raspberry 3B+ and other hardware on it (LCD, usb, pin outputs) It's cons...

Re: Using RTC module and synchronizing time from the net together

As I researched, you can use ntpd each time you want and call it to set system time, but NTP makes time sync auto in defined periods. So I plan to use NTP.

Meaningless boot problem

Hi, I'm having a problem for a while. I've Raspberry Pi 3 B+ boards and Samsung 32 GB Evo Sd cards. I'm using 2019-04-08 Raspian Stretch os version. I can define problem in two cases; 1- While RaPi works normal, I just power off RaPi (tested with and without shutdown command) and in 2-3 seconds I po...

Re: Using RTC module and synchronizing time from the net together

I'm using Stretch for a long time for our industrial project and made many custom settings on it, so I don't want to change it to Buster at this period. I've searched the differances between ntpd and ntp, after that I've seen ntp will be better for this project. Thanks for your support.

Re: Using RTC module and synchronizing time from the net together

Thanks Epoch, I've decided to install ntp on Raspberry Stretch cause ntp package has been removed in the last Raspberry OS versions. And I read the details in the link you gave. I'll write some python code with ntplib library and I suppose that I'll manage to controll time sync and RTC together. Tha...

Using RTC module and synchronizing time from the net together

Hi friends, I want my RaPi to have the right time even it is connected to internet or not. So I bought RTC DS3231 module and installed, works fine. Bu at the same time I want RaPi to syncronize time from internet or the local time server I define. So for instance, RaPi will try to access to the inte...

Using Raspberry Pi 3 B+ as a Mysql Server with > 25 clients

Hi, Has anyone used RaPi as a Mysql Server that hosts more than 25 clients over wifi? I've a project and client tcpip traffic with server is low like 4-5 kbps per minute per client. And there will be three superuser clients, daily traffic is the same but when they require a report (2-3 times a day) ...

Thanks friends for your explanations, I'll make my project as I mentioned with transistor with those voltage limitations.

Re: Gpio pin switching limit?

I may replace relay, or I may use transistor insteaf of relay. It's not much problem for me. But if Raspi or gpio pin/port breaks down, it is really a big problem.

Gpio pin switching limit?

Hi all, I'm triying to count one of gpio pin value. It's connected to a relay and it blinks every second. So in one minute this pin switches 60 times, in one hour 3600 times. With this method, this gpio pin switches more than 10.000 times in 3 hours. Is there a limitation for this? With this usage m...

Raspberry 3 7" touch screen Python Code

Hi everyone, I'm writing Python code for an application on Raspberry. I've Raspberry 3 and 7" touch screen. In app, there is a long list which exceeds screen size so I need to scrool down the screen without mouse, just with touching/fingers. I'm using Python 3.6, tkinter gui. I'll be glad if someone...
