Re: Custom Camera / CSI-2 Access

We've managed to track down the root cause :) The problem was that the FPGA generated an End-of-Frame signal too short to be detected by the Pi. Once we stretched the time a little bit, the ending of a frame is reliably detected. We get pictures now. I noticed that our image is a little noisy with v...

Re: WF111 wifi module on CM3

For reference here's my device tree dumped with dtc -I fs /proc/device-tree > cm3_wf111.dts /dts-v1/; / { compatible = "brcm,bcm2837", "brcm,bcm2836"; serial-number = "00000000fa9f3239"; model = "Raspberry Pi Compute Module 3 Rev 1.0"; memreserve = <0x38000000 0x8000000>; interrupt-parent = <0x1>; #...

Re: WF111 wifi module on CM3

I'm still trying to figure this out. I've tried to load the sdio-overlay which activates the right pins on the CM3 board, but I still don't get a Linux device (/dev/unifi). On the Silabs forum I found somebody who had the exact same problem: WF111 AM4378 unifi_sdio - No /dev/unifi* . They solved it ...

WF111 wifi module on CM3

Hi Everybody I'm trying to integrate a WF111 WiFi module (by Scilabs, formerly BlueGiga) into a RPI CM3. The WiFi module is connected to the secondary SDIO connection. Scilabs provides custom drivers for their module which is not part of the Linux kernel, but I managed to build it using their develo...

Re: Custom Camera / CSI-2 Access

Thanks for your continued support! It looks like EOT detection (or maybe Frame-End detection) might be our problem. We implemented the signals/timings according to p.36 of the MIPI CSI2 Spec, but our Analyzer does NOT show an EOT. We're also missing Frame-End. That matches what I'm seeing in the vcd...

Re: Custom Camera / CSI-2 Access

Slight snafu on our part. Sensor wasn't running when I ran the tests this morning. Sorry about that. On the up side, I can see the interrupts being fired now: 4049301.584: rawcamRIL:SetParameter(7f0000a9) 4049301.594: rawcamRIL:GetParameter(1000002) 4049301.603: rawcamRIL:GetParameter(1000004) 40493...

Re: Custom Camera / CSI-2 Access

I've been talking to the guys and we are using only one data lane. Moreover, they told me that the data lane goes into low power after each transmission, but the clock lane doesn't. So presumably I should set term1=1 and term2=0, right? I've tried all combinations without success. The most promising...

Re: Custom Camera / CSI-2 Access

Thanks for the feedback. This helps alot! I'll take a while to get through the spec You need to read the CSI2 spec. Whilst it is restricted, someone has stuck a draft version at http://electronix.ru/forum/index.php?act=Attach&type=post&id=67362, and it's close enough. ... Data lanes is the number of...

Custom Camera / CSI-2 Access

Hi Guys We're stuck trying to integrate a custom Camera Sensor with the Rpi/CM3. We've successfully integerated the the MMAL initialization for capture mode from the raspiraw github repo (https://github.com/6by9/raspiraw). I.e. we register a callback to the output of the vs.ril.rawcam component to r...
