Re: Retro pi new games/ports

Doom 3 runs rather well mednafen also runs well which opens up cycle accurate PSX and reicast also works which opens up Dreamcast.

Plenty to choose from there.

Check the .cue file in a text editor and see if the filename for the .bin file doesn't have a capital in it Linux is case sensitive windows is not.

Re: Attempting to Build Mame 0.214 on RPI 4

Go into the mame source directory and do nano makefile then uncommemt REGENIE=1 and NOWERROR=1

Save and try again it should compile then look at ARCHOPS you can send Cflags to the compiler to set fpu mtune and march.

Re: I managed to get Dolphin running on a Pi 2?!? (VERY SLOWLY)

I wonder if its 64 bit only hence why it will not build on 32 bit?

Its in the FAQ it is

https://dolphin-emu.org/blog/2014/05/19/obituary-32bit/

EDIT seemingly not

32-bit ARM devices are not affected by this decision and will continue to be supported.

I got the source bundle from the link below https://github.com/mupen64plus/mupen64plus-core/releases/tag/2.5.9 I then used the following command line to build it sudo CFLAGS='-mfpu=neon -mtune=cortex-a72 -march=armv8-a' ./m64p_build.sh NEON=1 USE_GLES=1 VFP_HARD=1 NEW_DYNAREC=1 I had to also install...

That Amazon link has instructions on how to install the drivers if you can connect using hdmi and go to a command prompt you would install the driver for the screen.

Re: Is there any working version of Mame for RPI4 in any form?

I think this thread opens a can of worms we need a rpi4 emulation section to share what works and what doesn't.

Sadly the emulation sticky is woefully out of date.

Have you tried mednafen on a pi 3 or 4 it's amazing?

What exactly are you guys wanting dosbox to do Doom for example runs better on the pi as chocolate doom as a source port?

I do have a rpi4 and have compiled it from source and I do have a lot of old dos software what would be a good test?

Re: Is there any working version of Mame for RPI4 in any form?

The sample rate would affect it as well as the resolution drop it down and it should run faster.

If you are purely playing these games use advancemame it runs better but less accurate.

Re: Pi4, Handheld and PS2

The ones in the repo are usually old versions also you can set compiler flags and also enable sega saturn support to test.

No idea about SNES however dropping sound rate might help in the off file.

I always used snes9x for SNES games anyways.
