Triple display with Raspberry Pi 4

The Raspberry Pi 4 has three video/display interfaces with two micro HDMI ports, and one MIPI DSI connector. I understand it's currently to drive two displays over HDMI with up to 1080p60 resolution each, and later maybe 4K30 will be supported. But it is also possible to connect an LCD display to th...

Re: Modular Stripboard Enclosure

I've worked a bit more on it to add some circuits. I've dropped the LCD screen for now, and replace it with 16-LEDs, and added a relay board too. Here's what the connections look like before closing the case: http://www.cnx-software.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/Raspberry_Pi_Stripboard_LED_Relay_Co...

Re: Modular Stripboard Enclosure

By the way I remember seeing a simpler one a long time ago, here: http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=24479 I had seen his design, and I liked how it seem to neatly assemble, but it looked hard and/or cumbersome to cut this way manually since I don't have a machine. So I just went my ...

Modular Stripboard Enclosure

I've spent a few hours to design a casing using stripboards (or rather perfboards) that can be easily assembled and disassembled, and enough I haven't done it yet, you can also add LEDS, displays, sensors to the casing by simply soldering them to the top, bottom or sides of the casing. Some pictures...

Re: Updated GPU firmware

Firmware is updated to fix VP6 issue. All good. The 4 files can play now. For those interested, I've also posted the build instructions for omxplayer since I could not find complete doc (from toolchain to installation) to do so. http://www.cnx-software.com/2013/01/26/raspberry-pi-now-has-experiment...

I've just tried it. I can play the VP8 and Ogg theora video. But I just get black screen for the other two. It seems they can't detect the video stream: omxplayer trailer_VP6.flv file : trailer_VP6.flv result 105 format flv audio streams 1 video streams 1 chapters 0 subtitles 0 length 32 have a nice...

Can you confirm that after making the sse fix and the debug code assembler fix that it worked for you?
Yes, I tried it with a Cortex A8 board and it works. I don't have Raspberry Pi to try it out.

Re: Packages from debian you want to see in raspbian reposit

That's probably because libavg 1.7 does not support ARM (it won't build and work without modifications). The version in svn does support it, and work is being done on OpenGL ES support as well. I found one case of some x86 specific assembler in what appeared to be debug code which I patched up (tho...

Re: Packages from debian you want to see in raspbian reposit

libavg Debian seem to be restricting this to i386 and amd64 but I can find no indication in the changelog as to why. I'm testing now to see if it builds on raspbian once I remove that restriction. That's probably because libavg 1.7 does not support ARM (it won't build and work without modifications...

One guy (Matthew Pratt) has designed a "brewbot" based on Frescale MCU.

He might be interested in implementing his system with a Raspberry Pi instead.

Calculate Pi in the Command Line

I've just come across a post showing how you can calculate Pi in a shell script http://www.tux-planet.fr/calculer-le-chiffre-pi-en-ligne-de-commande-sous-linux/ (in French), echo "scale=10; 4*a(1)" | bc -l It's using the Arc Tangent function a() and bc utils. scale gives you the number of decimals. ...

If your TV is new enough to have a USB connector then your problem should be solved.

Powering the Pi using the antenna connection seems risky to me.
