Re: Best way to use a Pi as a NAS with two USB HDDs?

My WD 4TB did not died after 18 months...it was just having too much "inode errors" after 6 months continuous use..and becoming persistent every time... after transferring the contents to the Seagate barracuda drive, I've just reformatted the WD drive 3 times...also to EXT4... and made it ...

if microSD card has become read-only on its own...you may not be able to undo that...
better migrate to a new microSD card.....

its much better, faster, less headache....

@LTolledo Your Seagate Barracuda uses SMR tech and you are using this in a NAS. Do you find it gets very slow with random writes or sustained writes? No.... I do not write to it often... only when I wake up deluge... all downloads finished in less than 5 minutes, at most 10mins (depending on the nu...

IMHO the Pi-Top battery fiasco is what killed the project.... am also an owner of the first iteration of Pi-Top, originally intended for use with the RPi3B+. I've since made conversions to accommodate RPi4Bs the better alternative will probably be the RasPad 3 (though its like a tablet) also have on...

Re: Back To Being Confused Again Sorry

having both devices use the same IP address will be troublesome...
try giving each device its own distinct IP address (or have the router reserve each device a unique address)
