Re: [Guide] Kodi on Raspbian Stretch

Ok am still using Kodi 18.2 Leia on Raspbian Stretch with Desktop on a Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ (RPi3B+) and still have Kodi 17.6, but on another SBC running Buster one big difference that I noticed between the two Kodi versions (when browsing through the library) Kodi 17.6 shows some "snapshots" on ...

hehehe... connecting to a shared network and complaining about seeing other devices... the only solution is to get your own private network (as trying to "exorcise" others out of the shared network might have you kicked out of the place) new router, a lawyer, or a new place... which one can you affo...

If it is still bootable as you claimed, then it may be used for other projects that does not require GPIO functionality

and as jamesh mentioned, its unfix-able.

learn your lesson and move on....

Re: Best manners with the breadboarding ??

one good point to remember is that Breadboards, when powered on is not plug and play one wrong move, then... somewhere on the breadboard, or something connected to the breadboard goes "pffft" (sometimes with matching "magic smoke" effect). RPi's GPIO are also not plug and play, same thing as stated ...

hmmm after several post from some of the forum members and still the OP has not responded yet most likely the OP is in a too-tight-a-budget that replying seemed prohibitive as well...(or could just really be a spam post) I can relate to the "Tribbles" part of the discussion (from the young once ;) ....

Re: Which SSD to buy for raspberry pi?

These are the ones that I am using, none failed so far 1. Samsung EVO 860 250GB 2. Sandisk SSD Plus 240GB 3. Crucial BX500 120GB 4. Sunbow X3 60GB (this is a cheapo brand, have it for about 6 months now, still ok) While I think that most SSDs will work out of the box the real problem lies on how the...

Re: Pi4b cooling fan wirerd to TP No??

my usual advice is to tap the fan's power to the incoming 5v line (prior to RPi4B's internal protection circuity, so that will be TP1 for +5v and TP7 for the GND), and not from the GPIO header 5v line. @LTolledo Perusal of https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/hardware/raspberrypi/schematics/rp...

...or simply go directly with an Odroid XU4. Gbit ethernet inside and 2x USB3... Exactly what the Pi4 has. And the Pi4 has faster Cortex-A72 CPU's, up to 4GB memory, brilliant support, and doesn't require a noisy fan. ....and much cheaper too....dont forget that one! why do you ask? from where I am...
