So I ended up updating it, installs well now, thanks. But after a week or 2 I decided to upgrade my packages, now motion won't start from rc.local and doesn't seem to leave any log or redirected output to file....... has anyone else had this? The same command line works fine from a terminal sudo mot...

Could be very muchly the problem as I havn't run apt update yet, didn't think of doing that either. Thanks for the heads up i'll try this later on and if it doesn't work i'll post back here.
