Re: Raspian 18th March edition - Help !

I'm ok with Bash but remembering the only error message one OS had was 'bdos error on A' meant it had a problem.......and nothing to do with A *.* Quote... 'whether we've identified the root cause of your problems' I'd be very surprised if that wasn't the case.... In the event I just started from sc...

Using 8MP camera - lots Solved

Now this camera is Brilliant but for a newbie to it I was lost ! Here is what I found:- To get a well behaved recording I did this:- raspivid -o video1.h264 -t 10000 -hf -fps 30 and a well behaved 10 second video clip was gained in the /home/pi/ directory But MP4 is a more conventional recording for...

Re: ,h264 playback - help !

I put the video.h264 file on a PC running Ubuntu 14.04 and installed 'gpac' and that automatically woke a variant of VLC which ran the video clip close to real time, but also put it into a continuous loop. Now that's a huge improvement over being massively too slow or massively too fast. Technically...

Re: ,h264 playback - help !

RaTTuS wrote:if you want to play it back on other machines then you may want to container the file
as the .h264 is a raw file you need to tell it that it is
25fps
or it may just play back as fast as possible
How do you tell it that its 25fps ?

Many thanks for responding !

Re: Howto: Disable Screen Saver In Raspbian

I might be able to bring some clues to ditching screensaver or at at least saming it ! I had a poke around in /usr/bin/ I found a file called sleep and 'rm' it. A tad bold and it made no difference. I am using the 18th March 2016 Rasbian and fully updated it and upgraded it. but to no avail after 10...
