Re: weird lircd behaviour since 3.10.18

The link sent by Aron points to the changelog of the kernel-module itself, not the 'whole raspi package' provided by hexxeh. In order to test Aron's suggestion, one would have to (at least) rebuild that kernel-module. Best way for that IMHO is to setup a cross-compile environment in a VM.

Re: weird lircd behaviour since 3.10.18

Update: Aron answered. He suggested to open a ticket here https://github.com/raspberrypi/linux/issues/new . If no one beats me to it, I'll open one tonight. He suggests to: ...try to go back to the direct register manipulation version (this version: https://github.com/ar0n/linux/commit/69af0bf569f66...

Re: weird lircd behaviour since 3.10.18

Update:
Artur isn't the go-to guy anymore so I've emailed Aron of (http://aron.ws/projects/lirc_rpi/).

Re: weird lircd behaviour since 3.10.18

I've emailed Artur Lipowski (Author of the GPIO Part of lircd). Maybe he can either take a look at the issue directly or tell us where to open a ticket for this 'cause I'm not sure wether it's a LIRC or a kernel(-module) bug.. will post an update as soon as I hear back from him and/or when I get my ...

Re: weird lircd behaviour since 3.10.18

@GeofP: Thanks for your feedback! This sounds promising, I'll run some tests on my Pi's ... BTW In case you want to try/test older Kernel/Firmware versions: from: https://github.com/Hexxeh/rpi-update , Section "Options": To upgrade/downgrade to a specific firmware revision, specify its Git hash (fro...

weird lircd behaviour since 3.10.18

Hi all! here's the deal: I have 2 raspberries, both running the raspbian-image (from Sept 25th). Both are equipped with IR-Diodes, an IR-Receiver and an RF-Transmitter on a little shield I made sitting on the GPIO ports. -- Raspberry Nr1 is running an up-to-date raspbian and kernel 3.6.11 #557 (comm...

Re: mjpg_streamer problems

tried setting the governor to performance and it did improve FPS but did not solve the startup problems with mjpeg-streamer. @lalee: I've read quite a lot over the weekend and USB seems to be broken pretty well right now. I'm having those hangups you've described as well. Could you provide me with y...

Re: mjpg_streamer problems

I did downgrade libraspberrypi-bin raspberrypi-bootloader libraspberrypi0 and mjpeg-streamer is working much better (again). Downgrade could go like this: [email protected]:~> mkdir /tmp/downgrade/ [email protected]:~> cd /tmp/downgrade/ [email protected]:/tmp/downgrade/> wget http://archive.raspberrypi.org/...

Re: mjpg_streamer problems

I experience mjpeg-streamer startup problems and decreased performance as well. It was working fine ~2 weeks ago. Since then I've updated the following packages: Start-Date: 2013-02-03 11:56:35 Commandline: apt-get upgrade Upgrade: mercurial:armhf (2.2.2-1, 2.2.2-2), mercurial-common:armhf (2.2.2-1,...
