Re: Terminal visible outside XBMC video letterbox

In the video Playback settings in XBMC, tell XBMC how to handle your 4:3 Videos, If you stretch to 16:9, That will fill your screen.

I agree with this, I am hoping to get way for Koenkk to have the source of the project open for others to look at.

Re: OpenELEC vs Raspbmc vs Xbian

Morning, I understand the claims etc about the XBian installer using the Raspbmc source code and its a valid point, why should Sam/Raspbmc Dev's code up an installer for it to get stolen. Just to make it clear, it was a "user developed" app and not by a XBian dev, I have PM'ed Sam about this and wi...

You can use the image on larger cards, you will just need to resize the partition to fill the card.

Re: XBian - Small, Fast, Lightweight XBMC solution

Oh, can't wait for 0.2, it looks great! Airplay is awesome! Only thing I would like for 0.3 is a torrent program to start on startup that you can control through the webbrowser or the phone. ;) I would say that would go against the point of this release as it is suppose to be a lightweight XBMC Ima...

Re: Home Networking Idea

Regarding the ExternalHD, I already got a 1TB drive I plan to use with it. The main goal is to have the MySQL DB for XBMC running from the pi which can be done easy, the other idea's just came as a by-product of looking at a backup strategy. And in all fairness, I wont bother with LDAP/DNS until I c...

Re: Home Networking Idea

Thanks for your advice, To be perfectly honest, If I cant get the DNS working due to the sky router being limited in its settings, I will just run the MySQL DB on it for the time being.

Regarding a Hackable NAS, What would you suggest? :-)

Cheers

Home Networking Idea

Hi People, Been a long time reader of the Rpi forums and what not, just never got around to registering! Anyways, I have had this idea brewing for a while now and just thought I would put it out there to see if it sounded possible etc. The Idea! To have DNS/LDAP/Samba/MySQL all running from a Dedica...
