Re: Help with login

OK, I am going about this with baby steps....

With some help of a friend, I got the debian squeeze installed and my beloved pi booted up just fine.

Unfortunately, I don't have any login information

What is the default login name and password?

Re: Some kind of BASIC?

<r>I am an older teacher who would really enjoy starting an after-school programming club. Unfortunately, I only know BASIC from my high-school days back in the early 80s. I taught myself BASIC on the Apple and Vic-20. I've tried to figure out Python and Ruby, but to tell you the truth, they are not...

In order to get a sense of what my chances are to get a first-run unit, could you tell me how many people are on the mailing list? I will assume that everyone that really wants one is on the list.

Re: Suggestions for pre-release tutorials required!

I know that lots of people are looking at using r-pi for high school robotics. So anything you can show for that would be appreciated (I know nothing about the subject at this time)

Re: Teaching Youngsters Programming

<r>A question about BASIC for anyone willing to help me out...<br/> <br/> I want to start a programming club at my high school. I tried to learn Ruby for this purpose and found all the tutorials too confusing (I'm an old dog who has trouble with new tricks). I found a wonderful update of BASIC calle...
