Problem getting Navit to connect with gps - rpi4

Not sure where to post this, but this forum seems as close as I'll get. Just hoping somebody can help. I have an Adafruit GPS unit attached to a rpi4B via usb. The gps is functioning, as evidenced by readout in minicom and cgps -s. I installed Navit by the raspbian menu preferences function. I have ...

Re: RPi to 4 channel audio amplifier

Suptronics has a stereo 8-channel DAC hat for the rpi that would work for the OP's purpose. Model number is X6000K-8.0ch. The specs look better than most oem car audio head units produce. Indicates "8-channel stereo audio outputs at the same time even if playing 2-channel audio." Output is 2v/ch, so...

Re: Any issues - Logitech Logitech Wireless Touch KB K400r?

Not to resurrect an old thread, but just thought I'd ad a useful note to it: Make sure you adjust your keyboard layout, as indicated above, BEFORE you reset your password. If you set your password first and use characters in your password other than letters and numbers, you may not be able to login ...

Re: Reading tire pressure sensor RPi

433mhz is for European vehicles, 315mhz is used in the USA. My problem is that most of these sensors seem to be limited to 85psi max. I am looking for sensors that max out above 110psi for G-rated tires. Also, it appears these sensors need to be programmed to be initiated. Can anybody shed some ligh...

Re: Carputer Pi 3

Update: I got Navit working, using the Adafruit gps breakout board. I also bought a powered USB hub made by Visiontek that works as advertised. I tried several of the cheap chinese ones and was not happy with any of them. I have also added a 250G toshiba 2.5" hard drive. Had to use the connector wit...

Re: RearPi - Use your Raspberry Pi as Rear View / Backup Camera and Dashcam

This application seems to only be available as a google app. It would be nice to be able to install it on a raspberry pi3B.

In fact, it would be nice for IOS as well.

Re: Carputer Pi 3

Glad to find you guys talking about car computers. Most of what I'm finding on car computers is outdated and it seems most people are only interested in accessory gauges via OBDII and music servers. I'm working on making a computer for my 2005 Dodge Ram 3500. However, a music server is at the very b...
