Re: Feasibility of RPi for EFI

running EFI off a Raspberry should not be a huge task. EFI is not timing critical, you use a Ford EDIS for the timing, its already 'hardened' and does 2 things very well: coil triggering and timing. All the RPi needs to do is analyze the RPM and compute the Duty cycle of the injectors which are far ...

Re: How to make blue tooth speaker to work?

any update on this, it reads just like I was writing it! No BT speaker working yet both work on android and PC with BT adapter. This sucks! going to pipe it into an amp with the Zune breakout cable as I get tinny sound through bare speakers to test points on board. BT speakers pair fine., I get pair...

Re: Composite Video Flickering

I was battling this for days with all kinds of config.txt revisions , looking up PAL/NTSC settings (My monitor didnt have a setting, it was auto). I am using a 5.0 800X480 RAAYOO backup camera screen with 2 composite inputs and a 12V DC input. I was using a 12V battery and then found a 12V 1A wall w...

Re: hard wired composite not even working

10-4. I got a GUI up on the little monitor, wi-fi connection and then did a sudo apt-get update, then a sudo apt-get upgrade. took a while to write all the updates, then the silly thing wouldn't boot again to monitor? Ill go back to the OEM etcher flash version. Im not sure the upgrade did (plenty!)...

I messed with the size and it vanished. I did a cold reboot and it came back.

Re: hard wired composite not even working

OMG, it worked ! I reflashed Raspian lite onto a new SD card and surely, it booted to a Composite monitor! Thats the first time the monitor displayed ANYTHING, even after trying to 'force' NTSC onto it. In my opinion, that doesnt work or the documentation is so convoluted that it is not helpful. So ...

Re: hard wired composite not even working

Im on it. Its taking forever to flash (Etcher stuck on 67%) but that is my next move. I even rem'd out the {only} active line in config that dealt with HDMI and pasted the NTSC composite script. Nadda. Im sure I got it wired correctly as I saw two white lines flash up on the monitor for a microsecond.

hard wired composite not even working

Pi3 Rasbpian off NOOBS installed to HDMI monitor.....hard wired shielded AV cable center conductor to PP24 (COMPVID) and its shield to ground (USB jack mount point, ground OHM'd tested) and I get nothing but a blank screen on a small 6" composite in headrest monitor. I used same input to monitor off...

Re: Salvaging screen from old portable DVD player (working)

The pins you seek are pins 1(gnd) and 2 (vid in) of J301 (12 pin socket). These pins trace back to pins 5 of IR3Y29B (force composite input if grounded) and pin 3 (vid in). I do not know if the DVD PCB does any video support. Mine is non functional, not even a DVD splash screen but I did harvest the...

Re: Never-ending SD Card Partitioning at Start-up with NOOBS

I just went through this with a brand new pi 3 and a new 16mb micro SD card. I used the recommended flasher and format programs that the Raspberry site suggested and I had a hang on NOOBS boot. First I thought it was hanging on FAT resizing ( about 3 minutes) but it finally came up with the 2 OS cho...
