Re: Pi 3 as wiireless client and wireless AP?

@wanstreet Thanks for the additional steps in the/etc/rc.local file. I made these changes and it resolved the client issues, I was able to connect to my Wireless AP, but the RPi AP wasn't broadcasting. I had a look at ifconfig and found uap0 had no IP Address. I issued the command; ip addr add 192.1...

Re: Pi 3 as wiireless client and wireless AP?

@wanstreet, would there be any issue if connecting via Wireless initially. Unfortunately, I don't have access to a monitor or keyboard, etc. So I followed; https://howchoo.com/g/ndy1zte2yjn/how-to-set-up-wifi-on-your-raspberry-pi-without-ethernet to create the Wireless access. It works well. I then ...

Re: Pi 3 as wiireless client and wireless AP?

@SurferTim and @wanstreet, Thanks for the details above and confirmation it works. I've rebuilt my RPi 3B+ several times trying different things. Currently I've got the config which @SurferTim posted on Fri Jun 22, 2018 3:56 am. I can see my uap0 and wlan0 interfaces, uap0 has the IP Address which m...

RTL8812AU driver - Raspbian Stretch

After many hours of trying to get an AP and client wireless working with the inbuilt wireless on a RPi B+, I'm now looking at getting an external adapter. Anyone had experience with the TP-Link T4UHP which is based on the RTL8812AU chip (according to other posts). Or what other adapters have others ...

RPi B+ AccessPoint - No Bridge

I've been reading a lot of posts recently to try and understand how to setup my RPi B+ as an Access Point. A lot of them use a bridge to Ethernet. I'm looking for a standalone AP where I can access local services, Samba, HTTP, Plex, etc. I have it broadcasting the SSID and so far looks like I can co...

I'm struggling with the first part, but doing mine all headless as I don't have suitable monitors and keyboard/mouse. I can see my WiFi ...

Bluetooth Keyboard - K380 vs K400+

Hi, Looking for suggestions on which Keyboard to get. I recently impulse purchased a Logitech K380 keyboard so I could get my RPi3 setup and running, so that I can then SSH to them. After getting Ubuntu MATE installed, I found the keyboard wasn't working. After getting a Wired keyboard, I got Ubuntu...

4G Wireless router with WiFi fail back

I'm looking to configure my Pi to be a WiFi repeater, so when traveling my devices can access the Internet. When no WiFi access points are available, I want to be able to fail over to 4G dongle.

Do I need two USB WiFi adapters? Any code available to do this?
