Re: how to implement software RAID

just remove the SD card and image copy your card every now and then using Windows or Linux. As a backup. No need to remove it. With a blank card in a USB reader you can clone while you run. With 1GB of RAM I can give that process 200 or 300MB and it's lightening fast (compared to running it on my s...

Re: Introduce yourself!

Hi, I'm Simon Stuart from Suffolk, England (by way of just about everywhere else in England). I'm a professional systems architect working both full-time and running my own company (work, work, work). Been a Pi owner since the original Model B (which is still faithfully slaving away as the heart and...

Re: class 10 or calss 4 card?

The SanDisk Ultra UHS-1 has both a read and write speed of 30MB/s, and I've found that no other card (no matter how much higher its read and/or write speeds may be) performs better on an RPi (using the MicroSD to SD adapter) or RPi2 (obviously without the adapter). I think this is a limitation of th...

Re: can't install fpc and lazarus on raspberypi

I've done a complete step-by-step article on obtaining, building and installing both FreePascal and Lazarus (directly from the SVN) on the Raspberry Pi 2. It assumes absolutely zero prior knowledge on your part (so for those who have "prior knowledge" you'll need to recognize that I'm trying to cove...

Re: Using Delphi for programming Rosberry pi

Well that was strange , when I looked last night the OTAPI blog was covered in multiple PuTTy screens and you couldn't read anything but tonight it's fine, only the one there should be ! Good news my Pi2 arrived this afternoon so it's play time. Have fun, MM Let me know if you encounter any issues ...

Re: raspberry pi 2 microSDXC card?

Create the partition & format the card using EaseUS Partition Master. When creating the Partition, select "FAT32", and make sure it is a "Primary" partition and not set to "Logical". It also seems to make some difference when you tick the "Optimize for SSD" (which I recommend ticking). That's all yo...

Re: Using Delphi for programming Rosberry pi

Hi... I'm the author of the OTAPI blog.
There is only a single PuTTY screenshot on the article, illustrating how to connect to the Raspberry Pi 2 using SSH (I prefer accessing my RPi2 units by either SSH or VNC, depending on whether I'm working in the Terminal or using the X-window environment).
