Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

It might be worth starting a separate thread for that specific issue as it may make it more likely to get a response from the MMAL / camera module experts.
Ok, I just started a new thread in this board.

Thanks again for all the help!

Regards,
Oliver

Camera image is getting darker and darker

Hi everyone, I use a 5-MP-camera together with two IR-led-lamps to watch my garden in the night. The software that I use is RPi Camera Web interface and everything works perfect at daylight. However, a night light the brightness of the images drops gradually and is almost total black after about 2 h...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

There is a button on the web interface labelled stop camera. If this is activated the software disconnects from the camera but is still running. The button toggles to start camera. Ah, now I found it (the button was not active until I stopped 'motion detection'). And yes, indeed, with stopping/rest...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

Not sure at the moment what could cause this if reboot fixes it. Might be worth trying a stop / start of the camera to see if that does the same thing as that might give a clue as to where any change could lie. This can be done in two ways. First is to do stop camera / start camera from the web int...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

Hello, first of all: the RPi Cam Web Interface is an excellent program. It generally works great and it makes fun to use! Now to my problem: I use the camera as a surveillance camera in combination with two IR-LED-Lamps for night vision (this one: https://www.amazon.com/Quimat-Raspberry-Vision-Camer...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

Just increase the value of "Still Frames to stop". Where is this setting located? I can't find anything like that on any of the setting tabs. It is in the motion detection settings provided that you have changed the motion detection scheme in the camera settings from "External" to "Internal".

What settings do I need to change in order for the default motion detect setup to continue to record for X seconds after motion has ended.
Just increase the value of "Still Frames to stop".

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

I have a security question: I have opened the port of the Camera Web Interface in order to get access to the camera from the internet. I have protected the side with a username and password. Is there anything else one could do? What is the maximal damage if a hacker gets access to the camera? Of cou...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

Hello, I have a camera where you can switch an infrared filter on or off by changing a GPIO pin status (the GPIO pin is connected to the camera). Now, I have written a python script that determines the local sunrise and sunset time in order to check whether it is dark outside or not and then switche...
