Controlling JHD802A with PIC

I have seen that there are projects to control these type of displays with the PI, but using 6 pins. I've worked with a PIC to receive commands from the RPi and display it to the LCD, making the RPi to use 2 pins instead of 6. Anyone interested? So I can put the code.

Thanks!

Re: kernel patch for Dallas 1-wire interface

it is easy to know what sensor is it. COnnect one, get its ID, connect the second, check the ID. as simple as that

No, but it is now in the official kernel source tree, and the latest kernel (available through rpi-update).
Thank you! will update today! That's the only thing that was stopping me to upgrade!

Well now I use mplayer and it's working great, thank you guys. I made a little script, but I saw here that you use perl, and a lot of things, so I just used BASH #!/bin/bash SENSORES=$(cat /sys/bus/w1/devices/w1_bus_master1/w1_master_slaves) for item in ${SENSORES[*]} do VALOR=$(cat /sys/bus/w1/dev...

Re: omxplayer - GPU enabled video player

Ok, first enable sound:

sudo modprobe snd_bcm2835

then, specify the sound, if hdmi, or local (headphones)

omxplayer -o hdmi testfile.avi
