Re: RTC

To get a DS1307 tiny RTC module working on my V1 I did the following: * install the device-tree-compiler [email protected] ~ $ sudo apt-get install device-tree-compiler * convert to source [email protected] ~ $ dtc -I dtb /boot/overlays/i2c-rtc-overlay.dtb > i2c-rtc-overlay.dts * edit source file [email protected] ~ $ n...

Re: RTC

In the i2c-rtc overlay file i2c bus 1 is used and on my V1 I changed this to i2c bus 0 and then it works for my DS1307 module.
As I am not at home at the moment I cannot post my changed overlay file. I will post it this evening.

Re: Rassberry Pi and Jack audio

I compile Jack from source, this is the only way I can get it to work.

Re: Rassberry Pi and Jack audio

Hello,

I did not install any additional drivers for the Extigy.
It can be used with the generic usb audio driver.
I also bought a 10 euro usb audio card wich seems to be working better then the Extigy.
It's a usb audio card with a CM6206 chip.

Re: Rassberry Pi and Jack audio

If you install jack from the raspbian repositories it will not work. The only way I can get jack and qjackctl to work is by compiling it manually. Then it works without problems with a external usb audio card. I tested this with a Creative Extigy and could playback without problems. Due to a usb bug...

Re: Rassberry Pi and Jack audio

Hello,

I think before we can make proper use of jack we have to wait until the USB problems are solved because there is no audio input on the Pi.
There is work being done to solve these problems but we have to be patient.

Re: Rassberry Pi and Jack audio

Jannis, I tried the 2.9999 wich gives the 1.9.9.4 Jack2 and does not work. Now the best part: the 1.9.8 works! at least with the dummy driver. As soon as my usb audio card arrives I will do some more testing. I will also test this source on the 2012-09-18-wheezy-raspbian image to see if it works. Th...

Re: Rassberry Pi and Jack audio

Jannis,

I tried Gentoo and finally got jack2 installed version 1.9.9.4 from the pro-audio overlay.
but I am still getting the same bus error.
I also tried to install the 1.9.8 version but the sources are missing.

I will try Jack1 the next days.

Re: Rassberry Pi and Jack audio

I resolved the memory failure but still getting the bus error. To fix the memory failure I did the following: sudo dpkg-reconfigure -p high jackd2 and answer the question with "yes". I answered "no" on this question during install. I will try Gentoo the next days and see if this will solve the bus e...

Re: Rassberry Pi and Jack audio

Did you change any other settings? I am still getting the bus error if I try to start Jack with the dummy driver: [email protected] ~ $ jackd -r -p 8 -d dummy jackdmp 1.9.9 Copyright 2001-2005 Paul Davis and others. Copyright 2004-2012 Grame. jackdmp comes with ABSOLUTELY NO WARRANTY This is free softw...
