Re: The I2S sound thread.

Hi Im trying to find some information about outputting right justified i2s from Rpi. Is there any existing driver which does it? Best would be if I just could just use simple audio card driver with a custom overlay but I cant find that there is any such options in the driver. All help is much appric...

FIFO to solve I2S jitter. Any solution?

Hi! Ive searched alot for a solution to solve the I2S timing issue. I know for fact after measurement that I2S output on the RPi lacks timing and that is a huge problem to even think of HIFI quality with a I2S DAC. Does anyone know of a solution with I2S (input) - FIFO (memory) - I2S (output) to "re...

Re: I2S: Anyone got it running? (answer is yes!)

Hi! Followed this thread for a while now. Tried to compile a kernel to use i2s connectors without success. I can say Im not a software guy... Im looking for a image just to put on my sd card if someone is willing to share :D My plan is to use an image with minimum ports and services running. Just Us...

Re: HiFi audio player

I want to recomend you something (which is far far away from what you probably are looking for and call "high end"). As I understand from you post the ebay dac is temporary until you do your own design. Why not buy something really cheap until you get everything working? For example (the perfect dac...

Re: I2S: Anyone got it running?

We've got the I2s interface woring with a Twisted Pair Buffalo DAC, as it doesn't require the master clock (MCLK) input. We're hoping to get it working with a cheaper DAC, hopefully with the Pi supplying the MCLK. The LRCLK translates to the PCM_FS available via one of the tiny resistors not fitted...

Re: HiFi audio player

Hi there! Awesome project. In fact is I have almost the same project going. I have a diy usb dac (wm8741) that plays perfect together with diy class a/b mono amplifiers. My plan is resolder the Pi to to get I2S via the GPIO's and have it built in my dac case which has room for it. Everything will be...
