Re: Convert MP4 files to WMV

'cmon, a bump less than an hour after posting? ffmpeg is usually the tool for this, but the version shipped with Raspbian can't write proprietary formats. Building your own version can be difficult. VLC might be able to do this from the desktop. Okay... I got VLC player up and running. The video pl...

Why are you running an end-of-life operating system? The time to upgrade to Raspbian Stretch is NOW! I totally agree with him. All of the tutorials out there assume you are using the latest version. The GUI is way better and it has alot more functionalities! To update your system, input the followi...

You need apt-get python-imaging-tk, I tried your command and it doesnt seems to works. I tried the following and it seems to works well! sudo apt-get install python-imaging-tk It may seem basic, but yeah I had a little trouble installing the library x) You should also update the guide to install yo...

And what is meant by "website"? Accessible from the internet or only from the LAN which the RPi is on?
An online website. Like raspberrypi.org, not a local server. :)

Re: Smart CCTV streaming problems

You really should port forward instead of using any third-party software to do the <<Sharing>> job. Assuming your camera is accessible from a browser, your server should be hosted on port 80. Just check online for a tut on how to port-forward with your router s model. If you did it right, you should...

So now I can read the image it looks like you can at least copy the mac address from the pc you want to set the reserved address for, so make sure your pi is connected when you go to do this, you will probably still need to write down the IP before you start. but it also looks like you can select t...

Re: SD Card Failure

Dont worry about that. Its supposed to work well. Just let it run for 10-20mins, and if your SD Card is getting hot, your sd card is more likely to be malfunctioning/bad for your pi. There shouldnt be any problem with a perfectly working sd card.
