Re: minidlna crashes raspi

what version of minidlna are you running ?? I prefer installing the lastest ReadiaMedia version, the last version I downloaded was 1.2.1. But I have also installed the version in the raspbian repos experiencing the exact same behaviour. So I am not convinced that the problem is directly due to mini...

Re: minidlna crashes raspi

Additional Info: So after playing a single song when using a dlna player and the dlna player just seems to freeze and an ssh screen on the server is filled with the Message from syslogd pasted in my previous post, if I hit the enter key on the raspi 3 I get back to a cli prompt. Even though checkin...

minidlna crashes raspi

So I have been running minidlna/ReadyMedia successfully on a raspi 3 for about 6 months without issue. But about 2 weeks ago whenever I connect to my minidlna with a dlna player on my android (mconnect usually, but I have tried many players recently on multiple smartphones trying figure out what the...

Re: network services seem unavail after shutdown -r/h

I guess I really don't understand your dilemma. I don't understand this issue either. It doesn't seem to make much sense. I have even setup and run dhcp server in dnsmasq on a laptop running debian openbox and connecting both the laptop and raspi in question to a switch. But the raspi just simply d...

Re: network services seem unavail after shutdown -r/h

The "shutdown" command does exactly what it says...shuts down the Pi...period Yes, I understand what the command "shutdown" does. I have been using it for the past 20 or so years since first choosing linux as my preferred choice OS. My problem, and it is still a problem is that when I perform a sim...

external access to LAMP webserver times out

So I set up LAMP on a raspi3. I have port forwarding on my openwrt router to route INCOMING port 80 to raspi3's port 80. I have also used ufw to open port 80 on raspi3. I can access the main http page on the LAN nps, using the router's public addy, getting resolved to internal raspi3 on LAN, suggest...

network services seem unavail after shutdown -r/h

I just got started playing with raspi 3s. I have 2 of them, 1 I want to set up as a media server and the second a home automation server. I am having a weird problem with both that makes me think the problem is user error rather than anything hardware related. I can only connect headless as I have n...
