Re: Windows for IOT sucks!

I know I'm late but I've been developing a UWP app right now, running on a raspberry pi 3, I'm facing so many native bugs , stupid things: being unable to change splashscreen background color, native Win10 keyboard unable to support only numeric characters etc. etc. Really basic but CORE stuff. See...

Re: Periodically back up Raspbian itself with Rsync

Google for raspiBackup. Had the same problem to solve and instaled it today. Although it needs some reading before use it seems to be a perfect solution for frequent backups. I'm trying hard to understand how that works. It says it uses dd, rsync etc. etc. How come? I just want a rsync script and t...

Re: Periodically back up Raspbian itself with Rsync

If you are running the current Stretch, or even Jessie (older) the easiest way to back up an RPi is with the "SD Card Copier" utility in the main desktop menu. For those of us who don't backup on a frequent basis, this is a good bet because it is easy to create a new uSD card exactly as it was setu...

Periodically back up Raspbian itself with Rsync

Hello, basically, i want to create a backup of raspbian itself. I found an interesting StackOverflow post which seems perfect but it's quite old, here it is: https://raspberrypi.stackexchange.com/questions/5427/can-a-raspberry-pi-be-used-to-create-a-backup-of-itself/ Any suggestions or ideas, did so...

Re: Windows 10 cannot access samba share

With my little knowledge so far, i can see that you haven't created any shared path into the smb.conf file, maybe that's the prob. What you mean? My shared folder is at the bottom of the smb.conf file: [web_server] path = /var/www/dai-gurren writable = yes browsable = yes guest ok = yes public = yes
