I believe I have come across the same issue as BorbingoBoy above. I have a VGA style monitor connected to my Raspberry Pi using a HDMI to VGA converter. With all the cables plugged in and the monitor turned on, when I power up the Pi, it fails to recognise the presence of the monitor and the monitor...
