Re: DIY looper/sampler

Very sad to say that I got stopped in my tracks, the programming was just too much for me. Plus my business I own, got very busy and don't have time to finish the project , so I am putting it up on ebay and let someone else finish.

I hold my head down in shame :-(

Raspberry pi 3 trellis i2c to midi

So I have a trellis 4x4 pad that uses i2c to via RPi3. I have a schematic for a midi hook up for the RPi3, this is a midi in and out connectors on a circuit board with circuitry not to kill the RPi3 using the uart pins. My question is how do I get data from i2c into the uart or just into the midi ch...

Re: Using a MIDI Baudrate on RPi 3

Hi @WhyKiki Here is the commands added at the end of /boot/config.txt: # enable UART on GPIOs 14 & 15 enable_uart=1 # move bluetooth to the crappy UART dtoverlay=pi3-miniuart-bt And that's it. Cheers Is that really the code? "move bluetooth to crappy UART" lol but seriously is that for real?

i2c to usb/midi interpreter

here is what I am trying to do ( I am not an advanced pi user or coder but what I want to do is advanced) I have an Adafruit Trellis 4x4 button pad that uses i2c to communicate. I would love for it to to send midi via usb so that any soft synth that I use will be able to play notes. Now I know I can...

Re: DIY looper/sampler

Well currently stuck at this point "Note: For any python script you create to use Trellis, copy the Adafruit_I2C.py file from the Adafruit Raspberry Pi Python code download into the same folder as your python script. Don't skip this step--Adafruit_I2C.py needs to be in the same directory as your scr...

making capacitive screen better?

So I have a capacitive touch screen that works but is pretty much useless, especially if you are trying to close out an open window by hitting the "x" button. So my question is there a way to make this work better? Such as Raspberry pi code that can be used? Or is it pretty much built into the scree...

Re: DIY looper/sampler

Would have been ubercool in a clear plastic case! Problem with plastic is that it gets scratched up easily, but yeah sometimes clear plastic is kool. Also got the Raspberry pi up and running, was not easy. First problem was I was trying to start it up with the touch screen and it wouldn't boot up. ...
