Re: display_rotate=1 or 3 breaks hdmi output sometimes

Anyone have an idea as to which package update causes this?

Re: display_rotate=1 or 3 breaks hdmi output sometimes

I think I have the same issue. It only started happening recently. Some update from the last few months (I don't update all that often, so I can't be any more specific).

Re: Rotated display and using tvservice --off

Just thought of a workaround:
Turn off the display with tvservice --off in the evening.
In the morning, reboot.

All set up in /etc/crontab

Rotated display and using tvservice --off

Hi, I'm using my Raspberry Pi for a wall display, where the display is rotated to be in "portrait mode", this all works fine after tweaking the memory split etc. But my "problem" is that I would like to automatically turn off the display at nighttime, and not just blank the screen, I mean go into po...

Re: RPi in portrait mode

For those having trouble with this, try changing the memory split to give more memory to the graphics. I could not get portrait mode working until I did that.

Re: Raspbian vs Wheezy (beta) Mono support

I do think that it is something more than just a font issue. I got some very strange results when I used mono to call a native library with floating point stuff in the interface.

Re: Raspbian vs Wheezy (beta) Mono support

I'm seeing the same exception when running resgen (the mono program that converts resx files to resource files) on some resx files. It appears to happen when there is an ImageStream in the file. (Can't attach an example, forum wont allow me...) I'm running on a system based on Hexxeh's image, what i...

Re: Gnat-4.6 for Raspbian

Appears to work like a dream!

Have yet to run any tests on the produced binaries, but at least compilation seems to be going fine!

Thanks for your hard work!

Re: packages you want to see in raspbian

... the tool xsinfo being one such tool. Unfortunately, as far as I can tell, the tool xsinfo builds with a runtime flaw that causes an endless loop inside xsinfo and the tool never finishes. I need to figure out a way of getting xsinfo to build without the runtime flaw. If someone wants to look at...

No rush from me. I've got plenty to work with anyway. Do it in your own time, and I'll be happy to try things out.

Re: packages you want to see in raspbian

I tried to build Gnat three days ago as it is one of the last compilers that Raspbian doesn't yet support. I made the changes to the package that should allow it to compile Armv6 code and FPU instructions, but the build stalled for some reason about three hours into the build. Looks like it stalled...

Re: packages you want to see in raspbian

Okay, that was kinda what I feared the answer would be...
I think I will have to revert to using the armel debian distro instead, until raspbian has gotten further. I'll be back though :-)

Re: packages you want to see in raspbian

I would love it if a binary of gnat and gnat-4.6 could be built.
I have gotten stuck trying to build it myself on my rpi, and can't really work out what I should be doing.
It seems that I would need an older gnat on there to be able to build it, which I obviously don't have.
