web interface for invoking C-Code?

Hi, for the near future I'm planing to use the Rpi's GPIOS. Therefore I would like to use plain C for programming! Is there a web interface available to make C-Code executable via the internet? Or should I rather learn python then using e.g. the web2py-interface that I just installed on my Rpi! rega...

Re: omxplayer lxde desktop won't be blacked out while playin

no that doesn't make a difference! starting from X or starting from plain console produces the same result! Actually there are only 2 problem in omxplayer. 1. the problem with "bars" at the edges if video doesn't fit your screen ratio (mostly 16/9) 2. how to switch on subtitles and how to change the...

Re: Which Movieplayer are best for Raspbian?

But if using the xbmc how can I install network resources?

Then I would like to mount my samba stuff (win7 network drives etc.) to the xbmc image's file system?

Does the xbmc have a shell included so I can install all the necessary stuff using apt-get?

omxplayer lxde desktop won't be blacked out while playing

Hi, I do have a question concerning the omxplayer handling: While playing a video the lxde desktop with its opened windows or the command shell (depends on where I started omxplayer) won't disappear at the edges (if video doesn't fit 16/9 format) while playing a video using the omxplayer. I already ...

Re: Accessing Network Drives in the File Manager.

A a little problem still exists:

How can I avoid being asked for the password?
So how to add the pwd to:

sudo mount -t cifs -o user={W7 User Name} "//{IP address of W7 machine}/E Drive" /media/EDrive/

man 8 mount didn't give me the soltion!?

kind regards

Re: Accessing Network Drives in the File Manager.

Yes what a great solution. I installed dolphin, too. Then I remembered I rather like "thunar" so I installed it as well! Now im struggling with command line access to samba and windows network resources!?!? therefore I tried to use the smbclient. The resource I try to access is a "windows7-drive" ca...
