Re: run the HDMI and TFT screen simultaneously

This may require a new thread, but seems like a relevant question... I do A/V installs and get tired of dragging out a laptop to test HDMI connections. I have the PiTFT Toucscreen, and would love to create some kind of "desktop" shortcuts that display on the screen and simply run some omxplayer scri...

Re: Unattended script and cron

This is a project at an office where I"m using the rPi to play a video on a projector. The equipment will be set up all through December, and I don't want to run the projector 24/7 for a month. Unattended script and cron

I'm setting up a pi as a standalone, unattended video player. I've created a script to start omxplayer and called that script from rc.local. I also have scripts to turn on / off a projector over an RS232 connection. Those scripts work fine. I then set up a cron job so the projector turns on in the m...

Serial Output via UART Interface

I'm extremely new to the Raspberry Pi (as far as doing anything really "custom" with it). I've got a project I'm working on using my RPI3 as a video player, connected to a projector. I have the video playing okay, but wanted to implement a simple script to control the projector over RS232 to turn of...
