Re: Two RPi's one as bridge crashes after some time.

Thanks for your fast response!

I did

Code: Select all

    sudo brctl stp br0 on
Then there is still the crash. After the crash I can not do anything. How can I see if a port is blocked? Do I have to watch somthing?

Two RPi's one as bridge crashes after some time.

We have two PRi Compute modules on one custom board. One (host) connected to a LAN9514. The other RPi (slave) to one of the free USB hub ports of the LAN9514. [RPi host] - [LAN9514] | (usb port) [RPi slave] The RPi host act as a bridge. One of the ports of the bridge is "connected" to the slave whic...

Re: Embedded data lines and kernel panic

Thanks that helps a lot! In my experience is to less embedded_data_lines will panic the kernel and crash. To less image buffer size will give errors seen with sudo /opt/vc/bin/vcdbg reloc and also crashes at the end. So what I understand from you that its save to add all the possible additional line...

Re: Embedded data lines and kernel panic

Thanks! Can you give some more information about the embedded_data_lines. It's not totally clear what happening when setting this. E.g if my camera outputs 2 embedded data lines, x lines video and 1 line PDAF data. EDL0 EDL1 IMAGE0 ... IMAGEx PDAF (= Phase Detection Auto Focus) 1) Is setting the emb...

Embedded data lines and kernel panic

Can someone tell me what the precise the following parameters mean in MMAL_PARAMETER_CAMERA_RX_CONFIG_T? - data_lanes - encode_block_length - embedded_data_lines - image_id We set our Sony camera to output 0 embedded datalines. Then we set the following value rx_config.embedded_data_lines = 0; The r...

When to set port parameters.

I have the setup [rawcam] - [ISP] . The connection is created with mmal_connection_create. When I set the black level mmal_port_parameter_set_uint32(isp_input, MMAL_PARAMETER_BLACK_LEVEL, level)); when setup the ISP and enable everything works. But changing the parameter while everything is running ...

Thanks! That give a nice view what's going on. Apparently the camera gives a few lines more out than we set.

rawcam and corrupted trailer

I’m trying to get my custom camera to work. The path I use is [rawcam] -> [isp] -> [image_encoder]. RAW12 My port parameters are *************** Port parameters *************** CAM Out -> [ ISP In - ISP out ] -> [ Encoder In - Encoder out ] type OUTPUT -> INPUT - OUTPUT -> INPUT - OUTPUT enabled 1 -...

Oke thank you for you answer! Apparently it's not something inside the pool function.

segmentation fault on second mmal_port_destroy

Dear all, When I call mmal_port_destroy once it works fine. But if I (accidentally) destroy it twice like if (m_pool) mmal_port_pool_destroy(output, m_pool); if (m_pool) mmal_port_pool_destroy(output, m_pool); Then the second time it crashes with a segmentation fault. On what do I need to check to v...

Re: GPCLK1 at GPIO42

Nice to know. Is there more documentation about the configuration of the clock? I added clock_setup { [email protected] { freq = <19200000>; }; // Camera clock }; // clock_setup That gives a clock but it's far from a nice block wave (but triangular). E.g. I see in https://pinout.xyz/pinout/gpclk# differe...

Thanks that works!

I find it hard to find out in which file the original values are stored but this works.

Kind regards

GPCLK1 at GPIO42

Hello all, We have a CM3 and try to enable the GPCLK1 at pin 42 with the 19.2MHz clock (or something else at > 16MHz). In the config.txt I set the GPIO mux at ALT0 (GPCLK1) gpio=42=a0 But the output stays low. Probably the clock source is not set right. 1) How can I set the clock source for GPCLK1 a...

SPI0 still having spidev0.1 after loading new modified overlay

Hello all, I'm trying to get the SPI0 running at pins 36-39. i.e. CE1 (at pin 35) is not used and free for other usage. Therefore I modified one overlay as shown below. The problem is that there are still 2 devices [email protected]:~ $ ls /dev | grep spi spidev0.0 spidev0.1 How can I get rid of device...

Re: pin mux setting (bcm2710-rpi-cm3, dt-blob config.txt)

Thank you, that clears a lot! I was probably searching in the Linux directory. If there is a few hundred ms it doesn't make much difference. In case of many second I would not prefer overlays. It's that I used a pin with a default pull-up but need a pull-down and on my board there is a strong pull-d...

pin mux setting (bcm2710-rpi-cm3, dt-blob config.txt)

Hello, I’m trying to set the pin mux at the right values and I want to do that as early as possible. What I see is that I can use the dt-blob.dts or the overlay method. The preferred method is the dt-blob.dts way. But the firmware/kernel source doesn’t have the dt-blob.dts file anymore. So I have th...

v2.1 camera module, FSTROBE signal and pinnings

Dear all, The raspberry pi camera module v2.1 had two "special" signals on the 15pin flat cable. This is at pin 11 and 12 (sometimes called CAM_GPIO and CAM_CLK but I don't know for sure). While the camera itself has two special pins one for the FSTROBE (the flash) and one GPO (not idea where that i...
