Re: exploring uses of nginx with rpi 2+ / rpi zero w

rpdom is correct. I found out what the problem was. Apparently you cant use root for accessing databases...well you shouldnt anyways. so i created a new user and granted all privs then flushed. I was able to finally get it resolved. All is good with the world. And yes the example above would display...

Re: exploring uses of nginx with rpi 2+ / rpi zero w

i resolved the issues above. the only thing that is left is trying to get my mysql connections to work. <?PHP $hostname = "localhost"; $username = "root"; $password = "pass"; $db = "db"; $dbconnect=mysqli_connect($hostname,$username,$password,$db); if ($dbconnect->connect_error) { die("Database conn...

Re: exploring uses of nginx with rpi 2+ / rpi zero w

I was mainly focusing on the speed of the display. RAM and resources come to mind.

That also implies that people will visit the site at a fixed rate of 2.8 seconds. Im expec ting rush periods and when those happen i dont want the server to serve the pages slow.

exploring uses of nginx with rpi 2+ / rpi zero w

I am planning to explore the uses of the RPi for webservers. I was looking at NGINX because from what im told its production ready with neccessary security features enabled. I was planning on using this for friends and family along for myself. I estimate that it may have from 200-500 visitors servin...

Thanks for your response. Again...im not entirely sure oif i want to keep android. But...if these pos devices can be set up to autoload the one app then perhaps its enough to have me switch over since the heavy lifting is done already. i am thinking about a project to do and i was wondering if there was a magstrip reader that would be compatible with the pi zero w. Re: Accessing the pi+camera on a linux desktop.

i have my code working but i have to transfer it to the pi because it needs the camera module. I can build the project then transfer then test the camera. If i can atleast get a linux distro on my computer and can handle the compiling while having a connection to the pi module it would make things s...
