Re: Raspberry Pi 4 Thread - general discussion

There are some known issues with chromium which will be resolved. The video and WebGL performance you get out of it will improve greatly. It's currently running with --disable-gpu to work around a more serious issue. Do you know how long this may take? My boss wants to run a chromium kiosk... No id...

What is the RAM speed of the Pi 4? What advantages would the faster speeds have over other Pi?

Ok, from what I've read so far.....
It doesn't boot from USB
Is there a way to do USB boot at all? This might be a problem for me as I keep my OS storage on a 1TB HDD...

Well done people,
I've ordered one already - will probably get a 4GB later ....when they become available
What do you mean not available? I see the option to order it from the United Kingdom sites?

I might be asking too much, but does the micro SD card slot have the same data transfer speed as before?
No. Double.
DDR50 is now supported and the controller now supports ADMA.
That's great!

Re: Pi4 Thread - general discussion

Reading the specs list I am happy to know that the Pi offers 4GB of Ram. Is the power supply with USB C cheaper than the previous micro USB power supply? $8 I believe. It's a really lovely small design, very similar to Amazon power supplies. We now make specific devices for specific regions, so we ...

Re: Original Model B price?

They are worth (as a lot of ‘collectibles’) what the market is prepared to pay for them. You can pop things on eBay and get £140 and next week the same thing sells for £60 - is it too early for these to be a collectors item yet? If two or buyers desperately need it, it’s worth more than one bidding...

Re: Original Model B price?

Hello guys, I heard from somewhere sometime ago that the Original Raspberry Pi Model B (The one with no mounting holes) is now worth quite a lot in 2019. Is this true as the Pi is discontinued? If so how much would the resale be? Edit: Found one on ebay: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Raspberry-Pi-Mode...

1.13.2 still is not effective but is better than nothing. As you can see it shows that the server is lagging when it is "overloaded".

No pi camera or pi display sockets.
Oh well. I guess they had to remove those things to decrease the cost due to the fact they have an m.2 connector and DDR4 Ram.

My case came with a fan and heat sinks. I find it odd if the fan is off when the Pi is in use. It's an scruple case for my 3B+.

Would a sucker fan produce less dust than a blower fan?

How do I keep my Pi clean?

Hi, I opened up my Raspberry Pi case today as it has been running for a year without being cleaned. It has a blower fan on board so there is quite a bit of dust on the Pi. How do I decrease the amount of dust going into the Pi? Is there some sort of air filter I can put on top of the fan? I do have ...
