Unfortunately, this method is broken since buster has been released. I haven't gotten around to fixing it yet.

The ds4 may have a custom chip on board as it uses a touchpad as well as gyroscope input.

Re: How to setup Minecraft 1.12.2 + Optifine + Forge On a Raspberry Pi 2B, 3B, 3B+ (Untested on Pi 4B)

Thank you for the information jdonald. I have taken a look at rpiMikes setupMC1.sh script and it will be easily editable to add forge. If all goes to planned (have to add swap and possibly zram) then I will go ahead and update the forge version all together. Personally I think it would look cool if ...

Re: How to setup Minecraft 1.12.2 on Pi3 or Pi4

I actually don't know if I have the swap file enabled. I had tried optifine by itself and it worked. Forge runs out of memory on 3/5 each time. As this was done on a fresh buster install the difference here was that on my old setup (stretch) I had novaspirit zram script. I will try again when I get ...

Re: How to setup Minecraft 1.12.2 on Pi3 or Pi4

Hrum.... I am running into problems when trying to run forge. The application opens but comes up with many broken pipes. Also, the dmesg log says "out of memory" and kills the java process. Why do I have problems on buster? I have updated my forge run script to accommodate the new java version.

Forums Youtube user control panel not working

Hello. It seems that the format for adding a youtube channel to your contact information is outdated on the forums. The old format (the one the forums currently uses) was youtube.com/user/namehere. The new format is youtube.com/c/namehere. Is this already known?

Re: How to setup Minecraft 1.12.2 on Pi3 or Pi4

rpiMike, this tutorial is for Raspbian buster, does the Pi 4 have any additional steps needed for Minecraft to run? Or does it use the same configuration as any other Pi?

Re: How to setup Minecraft 1.12.2 + Optifine + Forge On a Raspberry Pi 2B, 3B, 3B+ (Untested on Pi 4B)

This older tutorial won't work by itself now that Raspbian no longer includes JDK 8 preinstalled. The new thread supersedes this one. rpiMike's updated script there takes care of downloading and unpacking Java. Many users have run that on a Pi 4. Hmm... Too bad I don't have a pi 4  Let me see ...

Hello, I have been experiencing issues with the sidebar in the raspberry pi blog. It always moves down when I try to scroll down and makes it so that I can't click on the bottom blog post. If you don't understand I am happy to provide more info.

great.
what about, like on a standard pc, launch Firefox or Chromium, visit a website, select a video and stream it full screan (via HDMI) on a monitor?
Won't work well.. I would rather use a Pi as a smart tv/kodi device and watch local videos or youtube.

Should I try to measure the volts at TP2 and TP1?
Your pi is receiving power. The option I would recommend you doing is format your card and reflash it with raspbian. Look at the raspbian documentation if you need help doing so.

Re: Pc or RPi

In my honest opinion I don't think a Pi will be a x86/x64 computer replacement for quite sometime. The software that is out there is substantial but not on par. Furthermore, you can buy cheap computers second hand which will out perform the value of buying Pi + dongles + power supply + etc.

Re: Total noob ;) But have an idea I want to play with....

I think it should be possible. Using alexa might be a hard one. What you could do is program in python and use data from multiple temperature sensors. For example: if waterTemp >= 35: slowPumps() You would have to dismantle and find the motor driver and use some relays accordingly. Doing this as a f...

Raspberry Pi Wifi turns off and not found (BusterP

Hello, after recently upgrading from stretch to buster on my Pi 3B+, the wifi drops out and "no wireless interfaces found" appears after 40000 seconds or so. My dmesg log shows this: [46674.827497] hub 1-1.1.2:1.0: USB hub found [46674.828189] hub 1-1.1.2:1.0: 4 ports detected [49046.497963] usb 1-1...
