Re: Input from Composite video cable

I can't find one which is working. Video quality doesn't need to be superb. Have you tested any devices ? Of so which ones ? The Easycap usb capture cards was very popular some years ago, I dont know if a stable driver was ever developed, but I would think the newer Pi models might handle the USB l...

Re: 6.5 inch touch screen for Raspberry Pi 3

How about a 5" screen? Sorry for the American Amazon link but I got this one... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01FQBPDIG/?coliid=I2HKGK4827V7UM&colid=181XG5BPMZHIQ&psc=0&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it which is available under a range of brand names and prices (I paid $25 US for this one which now shows as $38 US...

Hmm, yeah, I don't know if I am going to do that now. Best bet would be risking getting other screen and hoping it works.

Input from Composite video cable

Hi, okay, so I have this car project that I am doing. And I need to input composite video signal from camera I already have, so I could save some space and not have 2 screens on windshield. It's sort of a wireless camera, it has receiver and transmitter. One near the screen, and one near the camera....

Re: 6.5 inch touch screen for Raspberry Pi 3

Get one of the screens with a nice frame and put it outside. This is what I did on an Atari Lynx when I wanted a screen that was much bigger than the original. http://79.125.115.174/pics/StoneAgeRetroPie.jpg Problem with that is that the RTI Navi screen is lifting up and down, I did got it to lift ...

Re: 6.5 inch touch screen for Raspberry Pi 3

Personally, I'd go with the official touch screen, it doesn't cost a lot more, & is guaranteed to work. 8-) I do currently have it. But the thing is I would need to cut down those black edges. And I am not sure if it will work after that :D. Also, plastic cover would have to be modified also. I won...

6.5 inch touch screen for Raspberry Pi 3

Hi, I am currently working on a project for my car. And I am trying to retro fit a touchscreen instead of my old Volvo RTI screen. So I found one of the screens on ebay, only problem is it's not really supporting Raspberry out of the box. I've seen people use 3rd party ones, but I just want to make ...

Re: OLED touchscreen for Raspberry Pi

Ever thought of lifetime of an OLED in a car dashboard environment? You will no longer 'love' it after some time of use... That's why displays in cars are still LCD (and not OLED). Anyhow, there is (no easy) way of connecting any off-the-shelf OLED (i.e. originating from a mobile phone) to a Raspbe...

Re: Micro SDHC card problem.

It sure seems my card reader maybe at fault. Problem is I do not have other one. Well, there is a very old laptop. But I doubt that would work as its very old... And I am not sure if my card will fit there. I did download image second time. Not sure if that would have actually changed anything, but ...

Re: Micro SDHC card problem.

Card shouldn't be fake as I bought it from trusted seller. Local hardware shop. Also I did test it with h2testw. It did fill it up completely and didn't return any errors. For card getting bad I am not completely sure as I can put smaller files, less than 4 GB (tested with every format). Unless I am...

Micro SDHC card problem.

Hello, so, I have a Kingstons MicroSDHC 32 GB card I think it's class 10. I used it with Raspbian and other OS. But now, when I try to install or copy files larger than 4 GB I get error's. One of them is this: Error 21: Device is not ready. I thought it's because of format of the card. But it I've t...

Vehicle media center/navi

Hi everyone, so I got my raspberry pi 3. And got myself thinking of what to do with it. Idea I've got is to make car media center with navigation. Car I drive is Volvo XC70 2005, it has factory navigation, which is pretty bad. So here are my "setup" thoughts: For begining I would need to reduce from...

Re: Streaming video wirelessly to phone.

Yes it is ambitious for you but more importantly you should not be looking at your phone while driving. I know that its dangerous, but thing is doing this kind of stuff camera inside trailer would really help. Sometimes you just need to know whats happening inside there, so you could alter your dri...

Streaming video wirelessly to phone.

Good evening everyone, so I have this idea. I hope I am posting in a right forum. I have a horse trailer, for which I would love to have camera, so I could see inside it while driving (if needed). So I thought about Raspberry. I would use it not only for this reason, I like what you can do with it. ...
