Re: Problem ssh'ing to PI directly connected to ubuntu laptop

Hello.

If someone else is trying this steps.
I have LUbuntu 18.04 host and was unable to connect to RPI.
After 1 hour of googling and trying I found in journactl that dnsmasq binary is missing.

So simple apt-get install dnsmasq fixed the problem.
That I was able to connect to RPI

Re: Dispmanx VNC Server

Can you provide why it fails? Any information by start from console?
I have checked LibreElec and it looks like it uses fkms overlay so I think dispmanx_vnc should work. (I dont't have RPI4 to test)

Re: Dispmanx VNC Server

Hello. What type of RPI is dispmanx vnc not working? Is it RPI4? Dispmanx vnc is takíng screenshots from actual resolution. So the donwsampling resolution would require to implement it. (Sounds like nice feature to add...)

Re: Dispmanx VNC Server

Hello.

Yes original code was written by me. It was just for fun. I am not maintaining it very much. RealVNC server has now possibility to do the same as dispmanx vnc. I also have some problems with keys and with libinput. Just not have enough tíme to work on fix.

Re: win10 rpi image in qemu

Hello.

I have tried with this branch:
https://github.com/0xabu/qemu/tree/raspi

I was able to boot it, but for now USB is broken, so no mouse, keyboard and network.
If you search qemu-devel mailing list there is also command line how to run it.

Do you know how I can use it on RasPi?

Hello. Please check logs a dmesg. Internal compiler error can be due to low swap space. I compiled some progs on RPi and it required 1gb of swap space.

I tried it on my PC and it uses QT5 with quite complicated OpenGL shaders.
Maybe with Qt5 --platform eglfs it will work.

Maybe I will try it.

Just checking http://anholt.livejournal.com/

And also mesa mailing lists. And also other opengl stuff as intel, it needs KMS + buffer objects in kernel.
But I am not 100% sure.

I also check this. I think you need also kernel from https://github.com/anholt/linux/tree/vc4.
And mesa from git. But I didn't try to compile it.

Some one did? And what's the results?

I am interested in this too.

Found some way how to enable x264 encoding on VNC server. But I was unable to find a VNC client with support for x264 fow windows. For Linux there is a way to patch VNC client and compile with x264 support. But I have not tried.
