It is AC -> DC 12V powered
As far as I know it doesn't have a protection like that. The screen remains on in flat blue with a "no signal" label
With RPi 3 I never had to worry about HDMI settings

Re: HDMI output only lasts 12 minutes with RPi 4B (it isn't the screen saver)
I was going to add to my previous post that both group/mode I tried HDMI output lasts only some minutes (I run raspistill -t 0). tvservice -m dmt (prefer) mode 32: 1280x960 @ 60Hz 4:3, clock:108MHz progressive but it also lasts some minutes Only adding hdmi_blanking=0 to default config.txt the outpu...

Re: HDMI output only lasts 12 minutes with RPi 4B (it isn't the screen saver)
The problem here is that the screen is 1280x800. So the output is trimmed, no top bar
What about the CEA mode 4? 1280x720
I tried group 1, mode 4 and the top bar is half displayed
Thank you

Re: HDMI output only lasts 12 minutes with RPi 4B (it isn't the screen saver)
But I don't know how to set it by default. I tried adding in /boot/config.txt these lines: hdmi_group=2 hdmi_mode=32 It didn't work. How to set tvservice --explicit="DMT 32 HDMI" as default (apart of running from cron)? tvservice -s shows state 0xa [HDMI CUSTOM RGB lim 16:9], 1280x720 @ 60...

Re: HDMI output only lasts 12 minutes with RPi 4B (it isn't the screen saver)
Have you disabled screen blanking ? consoleblank is not listed in /boot/cmdline.txt and cat /sys/module/kernel/parameters/consoleblank 0 Even if raspistill in not executed the default desktop background image is displayed only for around 12 minutes. The raspistill example was for the Pi 3 only to d...

HDMI output only lasts 12 minutes with RPi 4B (it isn't the screen saver)
I bought a Canakit RPi 4 /8Gb Ram Card has all updates/upgrades, last OS. First time using provided HDMI cable I didn't get screen output (720p). I changed some configurations in /boot/config.txt with no results. Then I replaced the cable with one I have for years of the Gopro 3 and then it started ...

Re: No HDMI output on RPi 4 (but it boots)
I had the same problem.
I bought a Canakit kit and the HDMI cable is faulty. I changed it by a Gopro 3 cable I have and the display is good now.
....
Well, after 15 minutes or so I got No Signal.
After reboot signal comes again

Re: IMX219 10s photo takes 100s to finish
Hi, thanks for your help.
I did browse the docs
https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentati ... pistill.md
https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentati ... /camera.md
and used the search but probably with not that good keywords.

IMX219 10s photo takes 100s to finish
RPi 3B IMX219
I get an image which Exposure Time is 10 seconds.
But the command ran for 1m42s (102 seconds)
Why is that?
Code: Select all

Where is the IR filter placed?
I see some M12 lenses that have the IR filter placed at the back. They are used for regular daylight in OV5647 camera, for example. But I see there are OV5647 NOIR (on infrared filter) cameras. 1) Are they to use with M12 lenses which doesn't have the IR filter at the back? So the filter is placed o...

Re: Finding the appropriate lens for my camera(s)
Well, I'm talking about small lenses, sizes according to those camera dimensions like the lens it is offered here: https://www.raspberrypi.org/products/raspberry-pi-high-quality-camera/ There are plenty of "small" lenses in the range of $10 to $30. I mean lenses that could cost double or s...

Finding the appropriate lens for my camera(s)
I am writing this because of my experience looking for lenses appropriate to the cameras I already have or those I could acquire for my Raspberry Pis. It's not a question, just findings. Maybe someone can add or correct some basic concepts. It is not that easy to get a needed lens for the existing c...

3) select_network + the id of the network from previous step eg. select_network 1 . Beware, you need to type network id, not name! This could be dangerous if you select an SSID which is not available the time you are going to change WiFi connection. I don't know if there's something like "if n...

After updates RPi_Cam_Web_Interface got into problems
Because I started having problems with motion in RPi_Cam_Web_Interface I started over with a new SD card. Fresh system install, kept all defaults. Performed updates and upgrades. Next, RPi_Cam_Web_Interface installation. Problems persist. I am using a 160° lens on its camera board. Working via ssh. ...

Wide angle but not fish-eye lens
I need a recommendation about a camera with a wide angle lens, not a fish-eye, 5MP at least.
I see offers for 160°, 170°, 180° field of view. It is too much for me, I would like something between 90° and 120° horizontal field of view.
Thanks in advance.

Hi. Still photo. PiCamera module Any speed I set lower than 1/30" or 33333 nano secs. it is set at that value. I auto mode it takes a photo at 1/15" or 66666 nano secs. How can I manually get slow shutter speeds. Sounds to me that module thinks it is a video frame so it couldn't be less th...
