Installed rdesktop and freerdp on Raspbian, which conveniently also starts straight into x, but I would like to know how to boot straight into an rdesktop session - ie which script do I have to edit/create in order to load rdesktop automatically on start, immediately after the x-window session itsel...

Yes, I had already looked into that. It seems probably a 1A minimum load would be required, which can be arranged by using a 5ohm/10W load resistor. However, I also have a power supply for an IDE drive from an IDE-USB adaptor kit, designed to power just the one IDE drive - also rated 5V/2A which doe...

Yes, I've already done that. It seems the minimum load would be 1A, which could be arranged by using a 5ohm/10W load resistor. However I also have a power adaptor kicking around from part of an ide-usb conversion kit designed to power just the one drive that doesn't seem to require any minimum load....

Ok, so I am getting pretty fed up with the fact that none of the usb chargers I have around seem to power the Pi adequately for it to work, so I am thinking of hooking it up to the 5v rail on an old ATX psu. This is actually delivering 5.4v and is rated at 2a, which I am aware is a 'little bit above...
