How to calculate battery lifetime on UPS ?

Hello, it's not clear for me on how we can increase the lifetime up of a raspberry on batteries from an UPS. for Ex , I have a UPS HAT using 2 18650 batteries 4200mA/h. If I replace them with 2x10000mA/h, do I roughly double the up time of the Raspi ? To be exact, I have a R4 - 8go / 1 lcd Screen in...

So I guess I should use something like that ? https://www.amazon.fr/gp/product/B082KJ ... E2NO&psc=1

UPS - Use 18650 batteries instead of batterie provided?

H all, Just bought an RPi UPSPACK Standard V3P which came with the 3,7v / 10000mAh ( Raspberry Pi club ) batterie. Unfortunalty , this battery is huge compared to my need in term of physical size ( square of 12 x6x 1 cm ) Could I put in serial 2 "usual" batterie 18650, as replacement of th...

Re: Do no display desktop ( or hide it ) before Chrome in Kiosk started

@thagrol and @bls : Thanks a lot for all these inputs ! let me then give you more insights on what I'm working currently : 1 - This will be an autonomous system, running on batteries. So as much power consumption I can avoid, better it is.( so I assume just running Chrome will save as well CPU, ie ,...

Do no display desktop ( or hide it ) before Chrome in Kiosk started

Hello, Not sure 100% it is the right category. happy to move it if it's not of course. I'm building a media center and runs as GUI a Chrome browser in Kiosk mode. I disabled splash, booting info..etc.. and now, I would like to avoid for end user to see the desktop until Chrome is launched and in fro...

LCd display , Hardware and Software resolution ?

Hi everyone, I just ordered an LCD which does 800 x 480 hardware resolution ( https://www.waveshare.com/wiki/5inch_DSI_LCD ) Now, I just noticed that another model that I have already says in features : "800x480 hardware resolution, configurable by software . (up to 1920x1080) " ( https://...

Which power supply to power 10 Raspberry

Hello, not sure it is the most appropriate group, but I think it's the one which suit most the question I think. Feel free to change the group if there is one better and missed. Regarding the question, everything is in the title : I would need to power 10 raspbery with 1 unique power source. In term...

Re: GPIOZero - 2 fonction for same GPIO ? [ SOLVED ]

HI Thanks to all, specially to CyberGyver ! Obvisouly, the active_time is not a such usefull parameter... but at least I understand that everybody get it to none ;-) Regarding the solution, I coded badly my value storage but with the code shared, works lovely ! Thx a lot again ! [ Edit] @ thagrol : ...

Re: GPIOZero - 2 fonction for same GPIO ?

Hello All, I still don't get it, sorry searched on official document from GPIOZero : The length of time (in seconds) that the device has been active for. When the device is inactive, this is "none" -> my undestanding is that when the button is released, value is set back to none So, I trie...

Re: GPIOZero - 2 fonction for same GPIO ?

Hello All, Thanks for all the answers ! I did a lot of tests before re-posting ... I tried to do few tests and seems that I have an issue in my GPIOZERO here is the status : I'm using python3 ( ie: python3 {name of my script} ) I indeed run it as root I though to a failure of my GPIO, so tried again...

GPIOZero - 2 fonction for same GPIO ?

Hello ! I'm a new user of Raspberry and I'm now playing with the GPIOZero library. So far so good, when I try to use 4 different pin to simulate 4 arrow keys with buttons, everything works properly. Now, I would like to use as well 2 of the pins keeping them old let's say for 1 sec . first , I'm alr...
