Any way I can get a copy of the doc or message me when it's updated?
You should be able to watch the progress by selecting "watch" on that page.
Done - Thank You.

Re: Wireless Access Point - Internet Through Ethernet (Router)

This instruction guide works https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/configuration/wireless/access-point.md and is blessed by the RPF folks. No, it doesn't work with Stretch, and I think it fails with Jessie. It attempts to set static network settings in /etc/network/interfaces. This one works: h...

Re: USB WIFI - Disappears after adding static ETH0

So it shows after a DHCP boot? I use static settings on eth0 with a USB wifi device, but I set only IPv4. I just re-installed, fresh Raspbian Stretch and did the following. sudo raspi-config (Changed Password / Hostname / Locale Settings) sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get dist-upgrade sudo rpi-updat...

Re: Wireless Access Point - Internet Through Ethernet (Router)

In one of the instruction guides I found it said to share the eth0 connection with your wireless ap you need to bridge the eth0 connection with the wlan0 connection. Everything worked until that point. In answer to your question... Using hostapd bridge-utils. sudo brctl addbr br0 sudo brctl addif br...

Re: USB WIFI - Disappears after adding static ETH0

I don't see how. The unit is headless and on a shelf in the basement with an actual Pi power supply. The wifi dongle is the only thing attached to the unit other then the cat5 and power. Besides that I reinstalled twice and only changed the /etc/dhcpcd.conf to a static IP for ethernet and rebooted. ...

Wireless Access Point - Internet Through Ethernet (Router)

I need simple and straight forward instructions for setting up my Raspberry Pi 3 B running 2017-09-07-raspbian-stretch-lite. I have followed so many websites and forums posts that are absolutely useless. Most are for Jessie and even when they say "updated for stretch" they're not. They simply refere...
