That switch will just cut power to the pi. You would need to shut down the pi before using the switch, to avoid the possibility of corrupting the sd card contents. Being in the UK we have switches on sockets, so I either use these or pull out the plug after properly shutting down. So it's pointless...

Get a FLIRC case and you won't need a fan (nor heat sinks). The aluminium case is used for cooling and dissipating the heat. I also recommend the FLIRC case. It is just beautiful.
