Re: UPiS - Uninterruptible Power intelligent Supply

The UPS PIco looks very interesting! While reading the documentation, some detail question popped up: What is the accuracy of the emulated Real Time Clock (RTC), i.e. what time deviation per month or year should one expect? How long can the RTC be powered by the integrated LIPO battery? I understand...

Re: How to shutdown the Raspberry Pi?

I was also thinking about using a Gold Cap for a mini-UPS, as I see several advantages: Doesn't require a complex charging circuit It can easily supply more than enough power for a quick shutdown Has a longer shelf life (up to 10 years) than rechargeable batteries Small Detecting that mains power ha...

I'd be interested in whether that device really supports albundy's requirements:
Will it automatically switch to battery if AC power is lost, and back if AC power returns?
Or do you have to make the switch manually?

Re: USB to Serial rs232 / rs485 problems

Hi, can you post the relevant lines from lsusb and dmesg ? It would be useful to know the exact type of the adapter you're using. There were some previous reports about problems with serial-to-USB adapters: http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=10330 http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB...
