Re: I2C scan not detecting a device that the Arduino detects

What device? What i2c scan? What address?

Re: Pi GPIO hysteresis

pigpio allows the setting and getting of drive strength. Don't remember if it works on the Pi4/Pi400. http://abyz.me.uk/rpi/pigpio/pigs.html#PADS pigpio doesn't allow the setting of hyteresis. I was contacted by someone recently who said his experiments with hysteresis contradicted what had been ass...

Why? What will this let you do that you can't do at the moment? Just wondering about the reason.

Re: Trivial code sometimes takes 5ms and interrupts are missed

Where is print printing? It presumably is going to some device remote from the Pico. I'd assume the print is the source of the variability.

Re: How to use Bosch BMP180_driver

In C the following assigns the address of the function to a variable.

temp = bmp180_get_temperature;

Do you mean to call the function?

Why are you passing a scale of 70 when you are told to provide 6, 12, or 24.

Are you sure it's not because thousands of printf have been buffered to print? Perhaps add a sleep after the printf.

Re: Time since input changed states?

Import the time module (import time).

Use time.time() in the same way as millis. time.time() reports the number of seconds since the epoch (start of 1970) as a floating point number. E.g. 1626248762.114281

Re: Max frequency of: gpio -g wfi falling

pigpio works by sampling the GPIO. The default sampling rate is one every 5µs or 200k samples per second which would account for the 100k/s changes figure you see. You can change the sample rate to 1µs which would allow a count of up to 500k changes per second. Personally I'd only use that rate if t...

Re: Using spi and I2c simultaneously on Pico

The buses are independent. So yes, you can use two SPI buses at the same time as two I2C buses. You will need to use different GPIO for each bus.

Re: PWM problem

I do remember there were oddities on the Pi4B (with PWM) which we hoped might be resolved by the publishing of the full datasheet. They were not. One may well have been problems when the frequency was set above a certain threshold. I don't remember seeing a solution. Hi Joan, thanks for checking in...

Pulse lengths of 1ms should go in one direction, 2ms the other. Do you have a Pi with Raspbian installed to test on?

Re: USB Serial & PWM - SDK bug?

My point is that using the C SDK you can read PWM and get the results over USB serial. I didn't need to do anything fancy with the cmake files. The SDK is OK, no bug there.

I presume you are saying there is something wrong with your cmake. I can't help with that.

Re: USB Serial & PWM - SDK bug?

Not quite sure what you are saying.

My picod software uses USB serial and measures PWM.
